Chapter 97: Reorganizing the Legion (3)
With a single palm strike, a cyan handprint roared outward, slamming violently into the wall.
"Boom!"
A thunderous sound echoed, causing the very ground beneath them to tremble violently. Where the strike landed, stone shattered and debris flew, kicking up a cloud of dust. Though obscured, faint shapes of flowers, trees, and greenery could be seen beyond.
"It really broke through?" White Tiger’s face lit up with joy.
"Boom! Boom!"
White Tiger struck out in all directions. The resulting shockwaves shattered the surrounding walls. The ceiling above seemed as though it were about to collapse, but as it fell, it gradually faded into nothingness. The original grand hall, along with all its bricks and stones, vanished entirely, as if it had never existed at all.
"This... how did it disappear?" White Tiger asked in astonishment.
"A Feng Shui formation is both illusory and real. When it is active, it is real; when it is inactive, it is illusory," Yan Chuan explained.
"Ugh, the way of Feng Shui is truly bizarre," White Tiger shook his head and said.
The group looked around. The surroundings resembled a forest, yet the area was shrouded in heavy mist. The naked eye could only see about a hundred paces; beyond that, everything was a blur.
"Young Master Yan, where are we?" Mo Yuxi asked.
"We have arrived. This is the deepest part of the Feng Shui formation, a world that is half-illusion and half-reality. The 'Myriad Wonder Demon Lotus' you spoke of should be sealed somewhere in this place. We just need to search for it," Yan Chuan said softly.
"Mm," Mo Yuxi nodded softly as well.
Azure Dragon and White Tiger exchanged strange looks. The Saintess had never acted with such feminine delicacy before.
Seeming to notice her own unusual behavior, Mo Yuxi immediately stiffened her expression and commanded, "Azure Dragon, White Tiger, begin searching the area!"
"Yes!"

In the misty forest, Yan Chuan’s group searched for the Myriad Wonder Demon Lotus. Not far from them, in a valley shrouded by the same mist:
"Ah! Snakes! Young Master Yang, save me!" a hoarse, grating voice cried out.
"Boom!"
With a loud crash, two figures darted out of the valley.
They landed on a mountain peak. It was Yang Zhijiu and Ding Wugu, who was missing one eye. Standing on the mountain, they looked down into the valley. It resembled a swamp, originally covered by thick wild grass. After being stirred up by Yang Zhijiu and Ding Wugu, a massive number of venomous snakes slithered out from the grass.
Although the snakes had not yet become demon beasts, their vibrant, multi-colored skin displayed the potency of their venom.
"Ding Wugu, it is just a group of venomous snakes. What has happened to you? Are you afraid even of snakes?" Yang Zhijiu frowned.
Ding Wugu covered his weeping, blinded eye, his face filled with grief and rage. "If it were before, I naturally wouldn't be afraid. But my eye was blinded by Yan Chuan. We Feng Shui masters rely on our spirit eyes to connect with our hearts. With one eye gone, it takes a long time to adapt. Otherwise, how could I have been trapped by these mere snakes?"
"Oh? Losing an eye affects you that much?" Yang Zhijiu said, surprised.
Ding Wugu gritted his teeth. "Young Master Yang, I have a request!"
"Oh?"
"I have already brought you to this deepest point. With the capabilities of Master Wen Ruo, he will surely be able to break the great formation eventually. When you obtain the Myriad Wonder Demon Lotus and rescue Saintess Yuxi, that Yan Chuan will certainly emerge as well. I only ask that you let me tear Yan Chuan limb from limb to avenge the loss of my eye!" Ding Wugu said with venomous hatred.
"You want to kill Yan Chuan?" Yang Zhijiu looked at Ding Wugu.
"Yes! I want Yan Chuan dead! I want all three thousand of his soldiers dead! I must have my revenge!" Ding Wugu’s face was twisted with malice.
"Very well," Yang Zhijiu smiled wickedly.
He had long found Yan Chuan distasteful. If Ding Wugu wanted to kill him, he could naturally do him a favor while achieving his own ends.
