“Refining the spirit and returning to emptiness, a master of the Void Realm? Impossible, aren’t you a mere mortal?” Nightmare cried out in terror.

“Did you think I couldn’t handle you?” Yan Chuan replied with mocking laughter.

“That Feng Shui master deceived me! He said Void Realm cultivators would never enter the Feng Shui array, so how did you get in? He lied to me, ah!” Nightmare shrieked, panic-stricken.

“The Feng Shui master? Are you referring to this array you guard?” Yan Chuan spoke calmly.

“Please, elder, spare me! I can serve you as your slave, as your servant!” Nightmare pleaded in desperation.

Yan Chuan shook his head lightly. “A servant? I do not trust you.”

“No, I can swear an oath, elder!” Nightmare cried.

“An oath? I don’t believe in such things. Besides, if you live, the cage of this Feng Shui array will not be broken for us.” Yan Chuan shook his head again.

As he spoke, the golden dragon opened its maw and spewed golden flames toward Nightmare.

“No, ah!” Nightmare screamed in agony.

Under the golden flames, Nightmare’s body seemed to melt away, unable to withstand the power of the Void Realm.

Yan Chuan watched coldly as it happened.

Thunder rumbled.

The dream world trembled as though struck by an earthquake. With Nightmare’s destruction, the entire dream seemed on the verge of annihilation.

In the city, at the Yan Residence—

“Wah!” “Wah!” …

“Congratulations, young madam! It’s a boy, it’s a boy!” The midwife ran excitedly to Mo Yuxi, holding the newborn in her arms.

Mo Yuxi was pale and weak, sweat-soaked hair plastered to her face. She gazed lovingly at the baby handed to her.

Her expression brimmed with maternal affection.

“Dong’en, my Dong’en!” Mo Yuxi cradled her newborn weakly.

Thunder rolled.

Suddenly, the room shook all around.

“Oh no, it’s an earthquake, an earthquake!” The servants cried out in alarm.

Mo Yuxi looked around in shock.

“Wah!” “Wah!”

The baby cried, as if sensing the end of the world.

Ah!

The golden dragon’s flames completely melted Nightmare, reducing it to a transparent liquid, its last cry tearing the heavens.

“The dream is over!” Yan Chuan exhaled deeply.

Thunder rumbled.

The dream world collapsed.

The golden dragon seized the liquid that Nightmare had become and dove into Yan Chuan’s body.

Meanwhile, at the Yan Residence—

Mo Yuxi held her baby, terror in her eyes as she looked around.

As the surroundings cracked, everything grew more and more illusory.

The baby in her arms also began to fade, slowly disappearing.

“No, Dong’en, Dong’en!” Mo Yuxi screamed, nearly mad with grief.

A hum resounded.

The dream shattered. Those within it awoke.

Azure Dragon, White Tiger, and Liu Jin stood outside the military tent when they suddenly heard cries from inside.

“Dong’en, Dong’en, my Dong’en!” Mo Yuxi’s voice echoed in anguish from within.

“The Saintess has awoken?” Everyone’s expression changed, and they rushed into the tent together.

Inside, two large beds. Mo Yuxi’s eyes were closed, hands grasping at empty air.

“Saintess! Saintess!” Azure Dragon and White Tiger called anxiously.

On the other side, Yan Chuan’s eyes snapped open.

“Your Highness?” Liu Jin immediately stepped forward.

“Pen!” Yan Chuan demanded urgently.

“Yes!” Liu Jin quickly handed over Yan Chuan’s jade brush.

Yan Chuan seized the brush. Before him, a ball of transparent liquid appeared; as the brush touched it, the liquid was absorbed. Once absorbed, the jade brush emitted wisps of mist, dreamlike and ethereal.

“Your Highness, what is this?” Liu Jin asked in astonishment.

“It’s dream essence refined from Nightmare. With this dream essence, the brush will gain much. From now on, it shall be called ‘Dream Immortal’!” Yan Chuan replied with satisfaction.

On the other side—

Mo Yuxi awoke from the dream, tears streaming down her face.

“Dong’en!” Mo Yuxi cried out in grief as she awoke.

“Saintess!” Azure Dragon and White Tiger called.

Mo Yuxi paused, memories flooding her mind, and in a flash she remembered everything.

Remembering everything, Mo Yuxi stopped calling out, took a deep breath, and looked at Yan Chuan.

Yan Chuan looked back at Mo Yuxi; their eyes met and both froze.

Though it was merely a dream, the life they shared as husband and wife was vividly clear, and they had even borne a son together—Yan Dong’en.

Yan Chuan drew a deep breath and nodded to Mo Yuxi.

He knew it had only been a dream, and Mo Yuxi could not possibly be as she was within it.

Seeing Yan Chuan’s nod, Mo Yuxi’s gaze grew even more complex, carrying a mysterious emotion. She nodded gently in return.

Their eyes met, awkwardness settled between them, and they quickly looked away.
