Chapter 137: Charging Headlong into Yanjing (Part 2)
"Hahaha!"

……
The young generals of the Zhao Family Army chimed in with laughter.
Just as the Zhao Family Army was reveling in their arrogance, a voice suddenly echoed from the distance.
"Under the wide heaven, all is the king's land; to the shores of the sea, all are the king's subjects! Those who commit treason and rebellion shall be executed!"
The voice was resonant, deep, and majestic. Though it came from a single person, it completely overpowered the jeering laughter of the fifty-thousand-strong army.
"Huh?" The laughter abruptly ceased.
Everyone turned together in the direction of the voice.
The speaker was a young man on horseback atop a distant hillside.
"Yanchuan, that brat?" Zhao Kuo looked toward the distance with utter disdain.
In the distance, Yanchuan was actually holding a longbow, drawing the string and nocking an arrow, aiming straight at Zhao Kuo two to three miles away.
"Hhahaha, my lord, that brat Yanchuan must have gone mad. It's at least two miles from here to his hillside, and he's actually drawing a bow at you?" A young general laughed.
"Indeed, there must be something wrong with his brain!"
"My lord, to annihilate this brat with our fifty thousand troops is making far too much of a fuss over nothing!"

……
The officers and soldiers burst into a chorus of laughter.
Yet Zhao Kuo, for reasons unknown, felt the hair on his entire body suddenly stand on end as an overwhelming sense of dread engulfed him.
"How can this be?" Zhao Kuo looked at the distant bow and arrow with bewilderment.
The longbow in Yanchuan's hand was drawn further and further, gradually curving into the shape of a full moon.
"His Highness possesses formidable arm strength!" Huo Guang praised from the distance.
One must know that when Huo Guang first drew a bow, he had barely managed to pull it into a full moon.
"Quick! Attack, attack!" Zhao Kuo shouted anxiously, consumed by unease.
"Whoosh!"
In the distance, Yanchuan loosened his fingers, and the Sun-Shooting Arrow instantly transformed into a stream of golden light, shooting straight across the two-to-three-mile distance in a split second.
"Whoosh!"
So swift was its speed that as it tore through the air, it emitted a piercing, earsplitting shriek.
"Protect the commander! Protect the commander!" Zhao Kuo shrieked in terror.
"Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!"
Fifteen soldiers hurriedly formed a human wall, blocking the path before Zhao Kuo.
"Bang!"
The Sun-Shooting Arrow instantly spanned a distance of over two miles, piercing through the air with unstoppable momentum as it appeared amidst the troops.
"Boom!"
At the very front of the human wall, an explosive blast erupted.
The formidable explosive power of the Sun-Shooting Arrow instantly shattered the three soldiers at the very front and pierced straight through the fourth.
"Protect the commander, prot—!"
"Thud!"
Before Zhao Kuo could finish shouting in terror, the Sun-Shooting Arrow ruthlessly nailed itself directly into his head, piercing straight through with a single shot.
"Crash!"
Zhao Kuo tumbled down from his horse.
This scene left the surrounding young generals utterly dumbfounded, as if their wits had been frightened right out of them.
The commander was dead? Just like that?
That was two miles away! How could Yanchuan's arrow possibly shoot so far? Impossible!
Yet all this was still not the most terrifying part. What was most terrifying was that twelve soldiers collapsed to the ground one after another; a single arrow had pierced through fifteen men and still managed to kill Zhao Kuo!
"No, this isn't real!" a young general blurted out in shock and horror.
With the commander shot dead, the massive army fell into violent turmoil.
In the distance, Yanchuan handed his longbow to Liu Jin, his expression utterly serene.
"Kill them! Avenge the commander!" a young general shouted loudly.
"Whoosh!"
Another streak of light shot forth.
"Boom!"
That young general exploded apart with a deafening bang.
It was a soldier standing behind Yanchuan who had fired. Although he could not draw the bowstring to a full moon, his strength was likewise sufficient to hit a target from two miles away.
Behind Yanchuan, seven or eight archers drew their bows and nocked their arrows, aiming directly at the fifty thousand troops in the distance.
The fifty thousand soldiers and dozens of young generals stood frozen in place for a moment, not daring to make the slightest rash move.
They stared into the distance, shaken and terrified.
"Get out of the way to both sides! Clear a path!" Huo Guang shouted in a booming voice.
