As more and more formations were broken apart, Wuyun’s speed in dismantling them increased rapidly. Awakening Rong Ya once again from his cultivation, the latter summoned the jade seal coffin. Coordinating with Wuyun to activate the formation diagram, he coughed up fresh blood and fainted.

Rong Ya’s formation diagram activated, enveloping the Liguang Wave Fiend and drawing over a thousand layers of formations inside. Meanwhile, Long Yi drew out the Shocking Spirit Blade and, like an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves, scattered the fiends.

This fiend, of the Celestial King level, was not truly extinguished but instead flew out of the formation diagram, disappearing without a trace.

Wuyun was extremely satisfied with the fluid and seamless sequence just executed. The calculations were perfect, except for the fiend’s core body, which was absorbed by a mysterious force, unstoppable.

He turned back and accelerated the formation diagram, chasing toward the fiend’s absorption point, causing Ling Tong and the elders to startle.

Ling Tong shouted angrily, “Qing Zhou Sheng, what are you doing?”

Before addressing Qing Zhou Sheng’s actions, Yisheng’s celestial sword was drawn. This time, it was dragged across his own neck, and he retorted fiercely, “Wuyun senior, you break formations in the blink of an eye. In our War Alliance Valley, there is only death in battle, no begging for mercy!”

Without waiting for Wuyun to react, the sword slashed across his neck, then was cast into the void, piercing from above.

In an instant, Yisheng’s soul dissipated. Before vanishing, both he and the sword were absorbed into the jade seal coffin.

Ling Tong roared, drawing the only damaged celestial sword, ready to strike, but Wuyun scolded him sternly: “Qing Zhou Sheng, how can you treat senior sister like this, using force in front of so many eyes? Couldn’t you have struck without involving us?”

“Swish!”

Elder Ling Tong, unable to hold back, waved his sword. The image of heaven and earth suddenly appeared. With a shout, the sword became a gust of wind, sweeping over Wuyun.

“War Alliance Eternal Strike!”

This was Ling Tong’s strongest move. After executing it, the six remaining disciples behind him cooperated, shouting in unison, “War Alliance Eternal Strike, consecutive attack!”

Like a storm sweeping the clouds, Wuyun stood at the formation’s core, watching the attacks pass by him as if through a mirror, only to be reflected back.

When the seven from War Alliance Valley ceased their spells, the unleashed force spiraled out of control, forcing even Elder Ling Tong to resist his own assault.

“There is a reflective light trap in this formation!” a disciple warned, but Ling Tong did not strike again after his initial blow.

Wuyun snorted softly, addressing Ling Tong, “At least you know when to be sensible.”

At that moment, the jade seal coffin reappeared, and Yisheng returned. Like Qing Zhou Sheng, he was ignorant and foolish. Upon meeting, the two immediately began wrestling and fighting.

“There’s no choice; both lost one or two souls, making it difficult to gather. We’ll handle it later...” Wuyun began to explain, but the irregular black stone on his chest pulsed rapidly, as if sensing danger, shrinking slightly.

The interrupted words left Wuyun in an awkward position. He looked at the two struggling together and the angry crowd, then struggled to continue, “Later, I will find a way to gather their souls.”

“Senior, you’re mismatching couples!” Little Worm, annoyed after being knocked out of formation by Wuyun, kept complaining.

Even Dou Wang shouted, “This is too much! How can you do this!”

Third Elder Bear transformed into a thunderbear, glaring furiously at Elder Ling Tong. Moon Qi, hanging from his ear, was removed, and he used the jewels on its necklace to take aim.

Outside, flames rose from Gao Le and Wu Hao’s bodies—seven-flavor true fire—while seven axes of different colors appeared on Feng Qianyu.

At this strange moment, Yisheng and Qing Zhou Sheng were tangled together, limbs intertwined. Both gasped for breath; Yisheng’s eyes were bloodshot, breathing harder than Qing Zhou Sheng.

A barrage of giant icy meteors fell from the formation diagram. As they descended, the warmth from the group melted them, turning them into vapor before reaching their heads, then shooting upward.

The sudden chill caused Wu Hao, Gao Le, and Feng Qianyu to suppress the nameless karmic fire within. Likewise, Ling Tong meditated intently. Only his six disciples’ inner fires flared hotter and hotter. Just as they were about to ignite, Qing Zhou Sheng and Yisheng simultaneously regained consciousness, calling out in unison, “Please, senior, save us!” Then they fell back into forgetfulness.

Wuyun pointed, and the six disciples’ movements hastened under the ice’s impact, water curtains flowing constantly around them.

No one dared to question because the entire formation had entered an unknown place, glowing fiery red, with no visible edges.

“Nine-flavor true fire!” everyone exclaimed, especially Elder Ling Tong, who felt dizzy looking out through the formation’s eye.

This nine-flavor true fire was no trivial matter. When it ascended further to become immortal fire, even Immortal Emperors would covet it.

Within the Immortal Realm, even inside stars, this was the highest level—thus, it felt as if they had entered the star’s interior.

No wonder their souls were restless—this fire was the cause. Just entering here was already so powerful; going deeper would surely burn them alive.

“Senior, where is this?” Third Elder Bear covered his ear, troubled by the raging Moon Qi, repeatedly asking.

However, after Yisheng and Qing Zhou Sheng briefly recovered and pleaded with him, Wuyun’s mood improved. He said, “This is where the fiends originate. See, the fiends I scattered earlier are about to take form. They can’t escape. My prey will not get away.”

“But it’s too hot; even the soul can’t bear it,” Long Yi cautiously warned. The two tangled together maintained their hold, neither yielding, but the heat made their relationship seem extremely intimate.

Especially as the fire inside melted their battle armor...

Long Yi glanced at Third Elder Bear, who was staring at Little Green, while Little Worm chanted Buddhist mantras to calm his restless mind.

Outside, as the formation diagram moved deeper into the heat, when everyone could no longer endure, a vacuum layer suddenly rose outside the formation, blocking heat transmission. Then countless mirror surfaces appeared, refracting the light and heat in all directions. Next, the formation absorbed all negative effects inside, harnessing them for itself.

The fiends’ forms changed, becoming spherical beads that fell down.

During their descent, the beads continually merged. Instead of reviving the previous Liguang Wave Fiend, they formed a new type.

As they neared completion, Wuyun swept his gaze; half the beads were drawn in. Influenced by this, the newly formed fiend was only early Celestial King level. Before it could act, the Shocking Spirit Blade was unleashed, ignoring the extreme heat, slicing and absorbing the fiend.

The Six-Talented Ancestral Dragon appeared again, grumbling profanely, “Is there any other spirit like me, stuffed to death?”

Belching, he tumbled down with the Shocking Spirit Blade, then was swept up and handed to Long Yi.

Long Yi snorted coldly, mocking him for profiting and then acting coy. The Six-Talented Ancestral Dragon cursed him again, and Long Yi dared not retort.

Seeing this, Ling Tong and the disciples grew alert. The scene of Lan Chulian’s severe injury due to spirit backlash was vivid in their minds. If the spirit could curse like this, what did that imply?

Yet, after all they had been through, and sitting together with Qing Zhou Sheng and Yisheng—whose temperaments were unpredictable—Wuyun was undeterred.

“Hey, what’s with you two, hugging and cuddling? Come back to your senses!” Wuyun teased. The souls had been hidden in the formation’s eye all along; everything between them was by his design.

“He loves you; you kill him; to repay his life, you have a child for him!” Wuyun said, then turned to Elder Ling Tong. “They have no fate for three lifetimes but are destined as a couple for six. I see the heavenly plan and am helping fate along, letting them adjust to each other first. In the future, they will be a pair!”

Faced with Wuyun’s teasing, Ling Tong remained silent, as did Yisheng and Qing Zhou Sheng, who profited from this arrangement.

With Yisheng bowed in submission, accepting fate, Wuyun’s smile remained, and the “Six Heavens and Four Earths” formation rose another level, becoming five levels, as it captured the fiend’s physical form.

When Long Yi could no longer contain his curiosity about this place’s imperial artifact, Wuyun finally flaunted his knowledge:

“You reached your peak as a Celestial King but never encountered imperial artifacts; that’s normal. Every imperial artifact has a way to restore and strengthen itself. Look here...”

Wuyun pointed to the center, his heart racing. “Nine-flavor true fire! This is the core of the imperial artifact, the crucial place where it repairs itself.”

“All materials, metals, and rare treasures are refined here, enabling autonomous repair. Therefore, there must be storage rooms nearby containing various treasures it obtained through spatial tunnels.”

“Once located, the ten heavens and nine earths formation can be restored to six or seven levels, even eight. Then it can resist second or third-grade immortal weapons.”

As Wuyun spoke, the irregular black stone on his chest stirred again, shrinking from its previous form until it was the size of a fingernail. With a quick motion, Wuyun pulled it from his chest.

There was no blood; instead, a black vortex of smoke formed in his hand. He grinned, “Dreaming Evil Spirit, you want to escape into my body’s spatial dimension? You fear neither the fierce Phoenix Fire within me nor this nine-flavor true fire?”

The black vortex, no bigger than a grain of rice, finally spoke—its voice transmitted mentally.

“You want to roast me with nine-flavor true fire until I beg? Haha, at most, you can cause serious harm, but you cannot kill me. You want to torture me into self-immolation, suicide, or surrender? No way! Delusional!”

As it spoke, the tiny figure vanished, seemingly entering another space. Only Wuyun still held it. Suddenly, a crystal orb appeared on his fingertip, seemingly containing invisible matter.

“Fool, you think shrinking makes me invisible?” Wuyun laughed triumphantly, raising the palm-sized orb.

Everyone looked closely—inside was empty, not even dust.

Wuyun pointed inside and said, “When an object becomes extremely small, it can slip into another dimension, immune to attacks in this space. I can’t make it come out, but I can keep it trapped forever.”

“Just like our Demon Cave!” Yisheng blurted, a shadow falling over her soul and raising her estimation of Wuyun’s power.

“Exactly. I can borrow its power; it’s my main energy source now. Using some, less, I’ll have it replenish me.”

Even if the Dreaming Evil Spirit could hear this, it could not immediately verify or escape. By the time it regretted, it would be too late.

The formation diagram continued swiftly forward. Amid the blazing fire, without direction or gravity, an image formed outside the formation’s eye—a colossal wick, as tall as Mount Tai, burning endlessly.

All heat, fiends, and evil spirits were refined into this.

“Give me some time, and this imperial artifact will all be mine!” Wuyun muttered, slightly disappointed. The surroundings showed nothing special.
