The Color-Robed Man gave his silent assent. A breath streamed from his mouth and merged with Wuqing’s immortal art. It ignored every barrier, pierced through his immortal robes and inner armor, disregarded the protective runes carved within his body, and began corroding him from the inside.
Caught off guard, Wuqing remained neither hurried nor flustered. Three layers of immortal artifacts hovered above his head, while various auxiliary treasures wound around him from every direction. Countless phantom traces even appeared within his divine soul, all struggling to resist the invasion of that deathly aura.
But the deathly aura ignored all things. When withered, deathly spots the size of beans began appearing across Wuqing’s face, he roared, “Could it be that you truly intend to cause trouble in Hundred Flowers Valley?”
“You are not qualified to ask that. We of the Yin God Sect do business with ghosts and demons. Release the three you have imprisoned, and I will take them away.”
The Color-Robed Man remained composed. His mouth did not appear to move, yet every word rang out with perfect clarity.
The nearby immortals all drew their weapons. Most were stewards, elders, or inner disciples of Hundred Flowers Valley. The moment Wuqing gave the word, everyone merely watching the spectacle would have to join the fight—and suffer the consequences as well.
Wuqing refused to yield and tried to suppress the deathly aura. To his surprise, the more he suppressed it, the more violently it expanded. When it was about to reach his Soul Lake, Wuqing slapped his belly. The three beings—No Cloud among them—were drawn out through the exposed navel. They tumbled once, changing from their tiny forms back into round shapes.
Seeing No Cloud emerge, the Color-Robed Man stepped forward and stopped before him. A black horse blocked his path, its gaze arrogantly defying the heavens, as if it would fight anyone who dared oppose it. The sight made the corner of the Color-Robed Man’s mouth twitch. He was just about to open his mouth and spit another breath when the black horse moved even faster, spraying a mouthful of saliva directly across his face.
The Hundred Flowers Valley disciples surrounding them tightened their grips on their weapons. Their hearts lurched, especially those three Profound Immortals who refined formations, forged battle armor, and crafted weapons. Their personal immortal artifacts rose before them at once.
Nearby, the Dragon-Driving Warrior, dressed in a windbreaker and bearing the image of a dragon’s head as his totem, was even more shaken. He had personally watched this black horse being born. It had seemed utterly ordinary. How could it possibly have spat in the face of the elder he had invited? It was utterly inconceivable.
After being spat upon, the Color-Robed Man began trembling from head to toe. His fury seemed to burn within his heart. His entire body started changing color, shifting through seven hues. Just as a stream of gray smoke surged into being, the Color-Robed Man was kicked aside by a single hoof.
After sending him flying, the short-legged black horse muttered indistinctly, “I hate those things that crawl out of piles of corpses. Neither dead nor alive—they are even worse than lingering obsessions.”
“Split the mountains and cleave the earth! Yin Spirits Across the Eternal Cosmos!”
Ignoring the Dragon-Driving Warrior’s attempts to dissuade him, the Color-Robed Man burst apart the clothing covering his body and transformed into a ferocious giant beast. Its head resembled that of an evil ghost, with long, sharp spikes growing from the back of its skull. Countless corpses were arranged around its eyes. Its arms and entire body were formed from skulls, while its torso resembled a mountain of metal and stone. Its legs were like the hind limbs of locusts and crickets.
When it landed, shrieking dead spirits erupted throughout the entire space. They attacked without aim, biting at immortal artifacts and living beings alike.
Even Needle Boss and Lord Antelope had several of them wrapped around their bodies. No matter how violently they shook themselves, they could not fling them off.
“I am East Yin Gonggong! I hate anyone who insults my body. All of you must die and become part of me!”
Upon hearing this, No Cloud threw back his head and laughed. But the Camel with the Antlers vanished once more. When the black horse, startled, rushed to No Cloud’s side, his laughter abruptly ceased.
He hurriedly pressed his palms together and began reciting the mantra often chanted by Little Bug. The dead spirits attacking him immediately stopped daring to approach.
When East Yin Gonggong saw this, he roared, “I hate those reincarnation sutras chanted by monks! Look at the hundreds of skulls on my body—they are still reciting them because their obsessions have not faded!”
East Yin Gonggong appeared above No Cloud in an instant. The incantation formed invisible ropes that coiled around him layer upon layer, binding and resisting him. But East Yin Gonggong’s power was immense, somewhere between the early stage of an Immortal King and the perfected stage of a Profound Immortal.
He swept out a hollow hand and seized No Cloud. After deliberately examining the circle of radiance atop No Cloud’s bare head to determine whether he belonged to the Buddhist sect, East Yin Gonggong confirmed that he did not. Then he opened his mouth and bit down.
Had that bite landed, all eight of No Cloud’s heads would have been torn away.
Instead, the bite scalded his mouth as though he had swallowed freshly cooked porridge. His tongue burned, and he shook wildly in agony.
The ring of light upon that bald head was not a symbol of a monk. It was something even more detestable, carrying the scorching heat of Samadhi True Fire.

“Damn it!”
East Yin Gonggong changed his bite into a grab, but it burned his hand just as badly. Even the deathly aura he had formed was reduced to nothingness. As the ashes scattered, No Cloud inhaled them in a long breath.
“They say that one immortal-mist cigarette each day is better than living as a divine immortal. This aura makes me feel wonderfully comfortable!”
After No Cloud absorbed the charred, shadow-like shapes, his cultivation at the early stage of a Profound Immortal gradually reached perfection. He shook his body, and his cultivation advanced to the middle stage.
East Yin Gonggong, by contrast, had grown noticeably thinner. He stared at No Cloud as if he were looking at a monster. After swallowing the restless corpse-beast in his mouth, he asked, “Who are you, exactly?”
No Cloud burst out laughing. He turned one hand into a palm and gently pushed forward, while his other hand rested across his chest. In a solemn voice, he declared, “The Seven Seas, Boundless Measure!”
As soon as the words left his mouth, the palm he thrust forward suddenly became like a surging sea, flames burning within it. With every yard it advanced, it tore open cracks in space, revealing delicate patterns within. An ancient, weathered voice emerged from the depths.
“The Seven Seas seek the Way. The Seven Seas attain the Way. The Seven Seas destroy the Way. The Seven Seas are boundless!”
As the palm wind swept forward, the dead spirits surrounding East Yin Gonggong were crushed like withered branches and swept into the vast, surging waters. Before they could struggle, another voice transmitted its power:
“By necessity, eternal death shall be emptied!”
That ancient, weathered voice carried a rhythm like an endless cycle. When it finished speaking, bubbles formed around the struggling dead spirits as they drowned, floated upward, and dispersed.
“What kind of rotten Buddhist spell is this?” East Yin Gonggong bellowed.
Seeing that he could no longer suppress the deathly aura, two bones sprang from the back of his skull. They lengthened into two shadowy, inverted spikes.
The moment those things appeared, the Dragon-Driving Warrior watching from afar retreated into concealment and cast layers of formations to protect himself from the devastation.
But East Yin Gonggong’s fury was too great. Once the two inverted spikes were offered up, their power became comparable to that of third-grade immortal artifacts. Waves of intense light constantly formed upon them, one dark and one dim, winding together before unleashing a tremendous impact.
In an instant, something resembling a black hole formed at the very center. Then the shockwave spread outward, corroding all things. The immortals could not withstand it. Their weapons were damaged, and nearly half of the entire immortal artifact enclosing this place was destroyed.
That single attack had inflicted damage worth at least ten million immortal stones.
Those who were not wealthy and had suffered this undeserved disaster launched attacks without restraint. They brought out every kind of auxiliary immortal artifact. While resisting the onslaught, they used their meager power of faith to strike at East Yin Gonggong’s fortune.
But East Yin Gonggong was steeped in deathly aura, nearly returned to the Netherworld. How could he fear such minor spiritual techniques? He controlled the center of the blast and swept it toward No Cloud. This time, the radiance atop No Cloud’s bare head was completely useless.
“The Seven Seas, Boundless Measure!”
Seeing this, No Cloud no longer held back any of his immortal power. He struck out a circular portal and pulled the black horse with short, crooked horns into it.
They vanished amid a storm of countless thunderbolts.
Those Hundred Flowers Valley disciples who had failed to evade the attack and were desperately trying to protect their possessions suffered even more grievously. Anyone below the early stage of a Great Immortal saw even their immortal artifacts blasted into fragments. Their divine souls, weakened as if struck by lightning, fled while crying out in rage.
The great formation suspended in the sky tottered on the verge of collapse. When it was struck down by a beam of light, the entire Hundred Flowers Valley descended into chaos.
The Law Enforcement Hall had encountered trouble, yet its people still failed to appear. The valley’s ten great inner elders merely hovered and watched. Disorder erupted in various parts of the valley, and some people even took advantage of the chaos to rob one treasure ground after another.
At many trading sites, people had been watching the scene with the attitude of spectators. Then calamity arrived. Groups of men carrying immortal swords stormed in and looted every treasure that could not fit into divine-soul spaces or storage spaces.
Where there was one group, there were ten. Rumors even spread that the Immortal Emperor of the Free-Flowing Immortal Sect had returned to reclaim his territory. It was said that even the Valley Master had retreated far away, not daring to confront him.

As the chaos intensified, the ten inner elders of Hundred Flowers Valley and the masters of its various branch valleys all descended. More than seventy Profound Immortals formed a great formation, above which countless Dao soldiers and demonic riders flashed into being.
When those Dao soldiers and demonic riders formed the Heaven-Suppressing Formation and began advancing, more than a hundred fourth- and fifth-grade immortal artifacts floated in the sky. Coordinating with the advancing formation, they unleashed an immeasurable pressure.
Yet East Yin Gonggong was still pursuing No Cloud.
No Cloud slipped through space like a loach and vanished without a trace.
As for the Dragon-Driving Warrior, he had disappeared completely. There was no point in remaining in such a scene.
The Third Inner Elder, Three-Eyed Divine Sight; the Fourth Elder, Shadowless Wind; the Fifth Elder, Solitary and Merciless; the Sixth Elder, Harmony and Celebration; the Tenth Elder, Old Molting; and the Ninth Elder, Wuqing, who was responsible for intelligence, all floated in the air, transmitting orders and arranging their forces.
More than sixty valley masters had varying levels of cultivation. Very few specialized in offensive combat. After all, this was a planet that produced medicinal herbs, and the immortal arts they studied centered mainly on accelerating growth and strengthening plant vitality. When it came to battle, their primary methods were usually designed to restrain and imprison their opponents.
Unfortunately, these deathly spirits were their natural counter. Before they even drew near, the valley masters sensed extreme danger through their divine souls.
“Rise!”
A deafening roar spread throughout the central region of Hundred Flowers Valley.
It was not the work of the many inner elders and branch-valley masters. It was the Law Enforcement Hall’s Grand Elder, Old Deaf, who had activated his tribulation mode. He had been trapped within the incantations of twenty-three Law Enforcement Hall elders, and in his fury he had launched an assault upon the Immortal King realm, provoking this tribulation.
“This is a great calamity.” Three-Eyed Divine Sight gazed at the devastation and casualties before him and sighed deeply. “Alas, surrounded by comfort, they forgot about danger. For the sake of wealth, they had no idea of the value of life.”
“The Third Elder speaks truly. Ah—the Sect Master of the Free-Flowing Immortal Sect!”
The Fifth Elder waved his hand. Space split open in the air where he stood, and No Cloud, Guest in Every House, and the short-legged black horse with crooked horns tumbled out.
They truly tumbled out in miserable fashion.
The third-grade immortal artifact attack unleashed by East Yin Gonggong had been extraordinarily powerful. It was similar to No Cloud’s earlier method of detonating space within spatial rifts. Positive and negative, yin and yang, right and wrong, black and white—the violent energy produced by their collision had pierced through everything.
To put it bluntly, the power of that attack had already reached the level of a second-grade immortal artifact.
No Cloud had only just finished straightening his hair when an old man appeared and said to several inner elders, “Ever since this man appeared, all manner of crises have arisen throughout Hundred Flowers Valley. I suggest we capture him immediately, search his soul, and extract his spirit to investigate everything!”
No Cloud froze. Who was this man, and why had he suddenly appeared to target him?
After seeing the old man emerge, Guest in Every House said darkly in a low voice, “He is Crane Cricket’s father, Crane Affection, one of the inner elders. He oversees the outer sect’s affairs, though he has not yet been listed among the ten great elders.”
Upon hearing that this was Crane Cricket’s father, No Cloud suddenly remembered. Hadn’t his son been struck to death by No Cloud’s spatial power?
He shouted sternly, “Your son tried to murder Guest in Every House, the Sect Master of the Free-Flowing Immortal Sect. He was killed by the totem, and he deserved it.”
Then his tone shifted, and he reminded the man in a low voice, “Why don’t you hurry up and have another child? Or do you want your father to find another stepmother?”
The elders were all amused by No Cloud’s roundabout insult.
The Sixth Elder, Harmony and Celebration, waved his hand. Ten immortal artifacts resembling fire wheels surrounded No Cloud, each rising a thousand yards high. Blazing flames surged upward, intending to burn his body to ash and roast his divine soul.
The ten fire wheels formed a formation, releasing tens of thousands of streams of blue flame.
