Chapter 25: All is Past! Now, Witness the Final Blow!
Chapter 25: All Is Past! Now, Behold the Explosive Finale!
Though the Wild Boar King’s protective demonic power was shattered by the combined attack of Zhou Yu and Se Hou, his physical body remained incredibly formidable. His massive frame leapt out of the deep pit, and his fist, as large as a millstone, thundered toward Zhou Yu’s chest.
At this moment, Zhou Yu was utterly drained, his entire body limp—how could he possibly resist? Yet Zhou Yu was a man who would never cease attacking his enemy.
Unable to block or counter effectively, Zhou Yu opened his mouth and cursed, “Damn you, you bastard!”
The Wild Boar King’s punch sent Zhou Yu flying. Standing on solid ground, he glanced back at the pit and the surrounding destroyed trees, panting heavily: “Almost capsized in the gutter, nearly defeated by you two little brats!”
Se Hou gripped his blood-red staff tightly; energy continuously surged from the staff through his hands into his body, as he gathered strength.
“Well then, next up is you!” The Wild Boar King strode toward Se Hou. Though no longer protected by demonic power, he was still a Demon King, brimming with confidence.
Though the monkey before him was a tough opponent, and his blood-red staff even more demonic, this monkey was utterly exhausted. The Wild Boar King only needed to move a finger to end him, then seize the staff. Once his demonic power recovered, his strength would soar dramatically.
“Hand over your staff; I’ll make sure you die in agony!” the Wild Boar King advanced step by step.
Se Hou retreated steadily—not out of fear, but to buy time and replenish his energy.
With a sharp whistle, a gust of wind howled through the air. The Wild Boar King turned to see the formidable pitchfork hurtling toward him.
He swiftly dodged and eyed Zhou Yu warily.
That youth had risen after being violently kicked and punched, flying through the air yet still standing.
The Wild Boar King glanced at the pitchfork stuck not far away. Judging by its weight, it must be at least a thousand pounds. Could this guy have recovered so quickly to hurl such a heavy weapon?
The Wild Boar King hesitated, unsure whether to kill Se Hou or Zhou Yu first. After a moment’s thought, he resolved to finish Zhou Yu first. The monkey, though troublesome, was exhausted and posed little threat. But this youth, despite two brutal hits, had risen. If left alive, he would inevitably become a disaster.
With a roar, the Wild Boar King dropped to all fours, his body swelling until he transformed into a colossal boar the size of a small mountain.
Like a bull, he pawed the ground and then charged forward like a bulldozer, his two long tusks aimed straight at Zhou Yu.
Despite his size, the Wild Boar King was not slow; the ground itself seemed to tremble with his rapid advance.
Zhou Yu cursed, “Damn! I’m tough, but this is just unfair!”
Knowing Se Hou was still gathering strength, Zhou Yu gritted his teeth, enduring the pain, and braced himself to buy some time.
Just as the Wild Boar King’s sharp tusks were about to pierce him, Zhou Yu’s quick reflexes allowed him to firmly grasp one tusk. Seizing the moment, he leapt onto the boar’s back and struck down fiercely.
“Bang!” The punch felt like hitting solid iron. The Wild Boar King’s defense was astonishingly strong, earning Zhou Yu’s reluctant respect.
Yet the punch was not entirely ineffective; the powerful shock caused the boar pain, and it violently shook its body, flinging the unsteady Zhou Yu off.
In midair, Zhou Yu adjusted himself, landing without falling clumsily.
He barely touched down on hands and feet when the Wild Boar King charged again.
The massive beast’s momentum was like a moving mountain. Colliding with it would be disastrous, especially with those razor-sharp tusks capable of piercing any skin. The transformed Wild Boar King was overwhelmingly powerful.
Though Zhou Yu narrowly dodged, the gust of force from the charge still grazed him. Unsteady, he staggered as if buffeted by a strong wind.
At that moment, a short, thick staff slammed into Zhou Yu with a heavy thud. With a grunt, he was sent flying again.
The Wild Boar King turned his head, wagging his short, thick tail like a club.
“Damn! That... actually activated!” Zhou Yu exclaimed as he was struck by the tail.
Se Hou, watching behind, noticed the Wild Boar King’s tail exposing a vital spot and immediately formulated a plan.
“Zhou Yu! Hold on! Monkey brother is coming to help!” Se Hou shouted.
Zhou Yu groaned as he struggled to rise. The blow was so heavy it nearly shattered his backbones. Fortunately, his body was now far stronger than an ordinary demon general, even surpassing some Demon Kings lacking defense. Though badly hurt, he was not gravely injured—just in severe pain.
“Damn! What good’s your yelling?!” Zhou Yu snapped angrily.
Rolling up his sleeves to his elbows, he placed his left hand on his waist and raised his right middle finger at the Wild Boar King. “See this? I’m unkillable! Come at me if you dare!”
“As you wish!” the Wild Boar King roared but did not charge. Instead, he spat out a demonic orb.
Though mainly a melee fighter, the Wild Boar King could still unleash a demonic orb. Such a blast from a Demon King would pulverize any ordinary cultivator.
The orb zoomed forward, and Zhou Yu instantly dodged aside. However, the orb was fast, hitting the earth where Zhou Yu had stood, exploding violently.
The shockwave mixed with flying debris and dirt swept Zhou Yu off his feet. The blast shook the entire wild boar forest, startling countless birds and beasts into frantic flight.
Struggling to stand, gasping for breath, Zhou Yu was nearing his limit. Though his internal energy was abundant, most was devoted to healing his wounds, leaving little for offense.
Listening to the heavy rhythm of his breathing, Zhou Yu sensed a thick, viscous black energy stirring in his dantian.
Just as he attempted to summon it, the Wild Boar King charged again. Seeing Se Hou still gathering energy, Zhou Yu knew he had to withstand this blow alone.
With no retreat or escape, Zhou Yu stepped forward, then broke into a run, choosing to confront the Wild Boar King head-on.
Se Hou’s eyes widened in alarm. “You want to die? Run!”
But Zhou Yu was unfazed, his gaze resolute as he advanced. To him, the charging beast was not a monstrous boar but a path leading home.
“Foolish creature! Die!” The Wild Boar King lowered his head, tusks glinting. With all four legs digging four deep pits into the earth, he lunged forward.
At that instant, a flash of mad determination crossed Zhou Yu’s eyes. He frantically summoned all the energy he could muster into his hands, performing the one hand seal he knew—the Clone Seal.
A doppelgänger appeared in front of him, shielding his body.
“Just a clone to block my attack? How foolish!” The Wild Boar King sneered, unimpressed, preparing to strike.
As the tusks neared the clone, it suddenly spun around and punched Zhou Yu’s real body, sending him flying.
The clone shattered under the powerful blow. Zhou Yu spat a mouthful of blood but narrowly avoided the tusks.
Yet the Wild Boar King’s forward momentum did not cease. Zhou Yu was still airborne, unable to evade. Upon landing, the beast lunged again, tusks aiming for him.
Zhou Yu’s eyes narrowed to slits as he stared at the tusks. At the critical moment, he reached out, gripping one tusk tightly. His arm muscles bulged, tearing the skin of the coat he had stripped from a Bull-Headed Soldier.
At that moment, his arms became as hard as iron, holding firm and refusing to yield an inch.
Floating in midair with no leverage, this was actually somewhat easier. Though tiny beads of blood appeared on his skin’s pores, he held on.
The Wild Boar King charged forward for more than ten meters, realizing Zhou Yu’s grip was unbreakable. Suddenly, he slammed the tusk toward the ground, intending to slam Zhou Yu down and impale him.
Feeling the tremendous downward force, Zhou Yu released his grip. His body still airborne, as the tusk lowered below his feet, he extended his right leg and stomped hard on the tusk, propelling his body upward relative to the Wild Boar King.
The charge did not slow. Zhou Yu flipped back onto the boar’s back, briefly pausing, legs bent, then pounced, grabbing two thick tufts of bristly hair and yanking hard.
In pain, the Wild Boar King shook violently, trying to fling Zhou Yu off.
But Zhou Yu quickly let go of the mane, lightly slapped the boar’s back, and slid off smoothly like water spilled on ice. Midair, he spun, landing lightly with his right foot, slipping under the boar’s belly.
Though the Wild Boar King’s momentum slowed, his massive body still surged forward, unable to stop immediately.
Lying on the ground, Zhou Yu rose explosively as the beast passed overhead, unleashing a punch aimed at the boar’s groin.
After the blow, the Wild Boar King surged forward a few steps before halting. Zhou Yu collapsed, utterly drained—not only his internal energy but even his muscle strength was spent; he had no strength left.
The Wild Boar King’s huge body trembled; his fat face wore a strange expression.
“Ohhhhh!” he howled.
Had he succeeded? Zhou Yu lay watching the boar’s back, thinking that place was indeed the weak spot of all males. What use was being a Demon King?
“Foolish creature! How dare you strike my strongest spot!” The Wild Boar King’s body suddenly swelled by another third. His bristles thickened and coarsened, enveloping him like a suit of steel armor.
Zhou Yu’s eyes widened in disbelief.
What was happening? Had hitting his groin actually triggered a surge of adrenaline?
“Weak and foolish one! No matter how many tricks you have, before absolute power, you are but a pile of dung!” The Wild Boar King sneered, retreating, his huge, plump rear pressing toward Zhou Yu.
“I’ll crush you with my butt! Turn you into minced meat!” he chuckled coldly as he closed in.
“Damn it!” Zhou Yu shouted desperately. “This is just not right! How could the mighty Wild Boar King be so perverse!”
“Se Hou! Help!” Zhou Yu cried, tears streaming as the wild boar’s rear drew nearer.
“Se Hou?!” The Wild Boar King suddenly froze. “The adopted son of the Black Mountain Old Demon, Se Hou, who is under the Demon Emperor’s death order?”
Seeing the Wild Boar King hesitate, Zhou Yu seized the moment, babbling wildly to intimidate him: “That’s right! And the Black Mountain Old Demon is not dead! He will soon return to unify the demon realm!”
“Black Mountain Old Demon!” The Wild Boar King trembled, roaring, “He cooked my parents and drove my tribe here! I’ll crush you first!”
With that, he pressed his rear toward Zhou Yu.
Zhou Yu’s mouth fell open, staring dumbfounded at the dark mass descending—an unfolding, deeply wrinkled black chrysanthemum blossoming before his eyes.
A golden light flashed, piercing the center of the black flower, bursting forth brilliantly and swelling rapidly. Then a flood of blood sprayed over Zhou Yu’s face like a bucket overturned.
In the distance, Se Hou gasped, gripping his now enormous staff. For some reason, the once blood-red staff had turned golden, glowing with the words “Ruyi Jingu Bang” shining brightly.
The Wild Boar King was shattered and scattered across the forest, his corpse hanging everywhere.
Zhou Yu, bloodied, lay motionless.
“Are you stunned?” Se Hou’s breathing steadied as the golden staff gradually retracted.
“All is past—now to see the explosive finale,” Zhou Yu murmured before collapsing fully, gasping as he watched the golden staff withdraw overhead, the golden characters radiating light.
The golden glow bathed Zhou Yu, warming him like sunlight in the dead of winter.
“This time, I truly believe it,” Zhou Yu whispered.
