“Seeking death!” The Bull King’s murderous intent flared up. With a roar, he condensed a demonic orb in one hand and hurled it toward Colorful Monkey, while his other hand reached out into the void.
“Return!”
At the Bull King’s shout, the green glow flickered from the Ox Fork grasped tightly in Zhou Yu’s hand. The weapon flew automatically back toward the Bull King, while Zhou Yu, already gripping the fork firmly and charging forward with immense momentum, could not stop. In the critical moment, he gritted his teeth, clutching the fork that was about to slip away, and resolutely flew toward the Bull King alongside it.
Seeing that Zhou Yu refused to let go, a fierce light flashed in the Bull King’s eyes. As Zhou Yu came within striking distance following the fork, the Bull King delivered a violent kick.
The kick was so fast it was nearly invisible, but it missed Zhou Yu. As the Bull King lifted his leg, Zhou Yu planted both hands firmly to lift his body off the ground, flipped in midair, and unleashed a powerful downward kick aimed squarely at the Bull King.
Zhou Yu had anticipated that the Bull King would strike once he got close, so he had prepared this move in advance. Whether it would succeed depended on luck, but he had no choice but to fight. Without the electric shock from Baidu or the iron-blooded sword, Zhou Yu’s only option was close combat relying on his body.
The Bull King was momentarily stunned by the missed kick and his off-balance stance. But he had no time to recover as Zhou Yu’s downward kick, powered by most of his internal strength and enveloped by a faint aura, came crashing down.
The Bull King raised his arm to block. With a loud “bang,” Zhou Yu’s kick pressed the Bull King’s arm down slightly. Just as one leg finished its strike, the other followed swiftly—also a lightning-fast kick charged with energy. Thanks to previously opened meridians, Zhou Yu’s legs were exceptionally robust, allowing him to transfer energy swiftly from his right leg to his left.
Continuously switching and delivering kicks, Zhou Yu used the rebound force to keep his body suspended in midair, moving sideways as if running through the air.
The relentless “bang, bang, bang” sounds echoed as the Bull King, initially off balance, was forced back to a stable stance by Zhou Yu’s kicks. He then retreated, blocking the strikes alternately with both arms, unable to free a hand to catch the Ox Fork, which had somehow fallen to the ground.
Gradually regaining composure from the disrupted rhythm, the Bull King channeled his demonic power into both arms. Suddenly, he lifted Zhou Yu high into the air, then kicked off the ground with force and clenched his right fist, pursuing the airborne Zhou Yu.
As a heavy fist was about to strike, Zhou Yu, caught midair with nowhere to leverage, faced imminent danger. If hit squarely, he would be bedridden for weeks, as this was a full-power blow from a demon king.
At that moment, Colorful Monkey burst from the side, swinging his staff fiercely at the Bull King.
The Bull King had to abandon his assault on Zhou Yu and defend against this blow. His fists shimmered with energy as they met the staff.
With a thunderous crash, Colorful Monkey was knocked back, blood spraying from his mouth as he traced a bloody arc through the air, crashing heavily some distance away.
The Bull King was also staggered by the impact, his arm energy dimming slightly.
Despite this, the Bull King’s foundation was solid. Blocking the full force of Colorful Monkey’s staff with his fists, he maintained the upper hand. Landing without pause, he charged forward fiercely toward Zhou Yu, his movements so fast they left afterimages.
Zhou Yu had just landed when the Bull King’s enormous fist suddenly appeared before him. Instinctively, Zhou Yu raised both arms to block.
But the fist did not strike the arms. Midair, the Bull King forcefully altered his punch’s trajectory, aiming at Zhou Yu’s knees.
“I’ll teach you to kick!” the Bull King roared, smashing down.
“Ah!” Zhou Yu cried out in pain as his left leg was crushed into the mud with a sharp crack, clearly broken.
After the punch came a brutal sweeping kick aimed at Zhou Yu.
Despite the agony from his broken leg, Zhou Yu did not lose awareness. He raised his arms to block the kick, a faint black energy flickering on his arms.
Still, the force sent him flying, his body carving a deep furrow in the ground like a plow. His head lolled to one side as he fainted.
“What use are all your tricks? In front of me, the old Bull, anything short of demon king level is trash!” The Bull King spat at Zhou Yu before turning to Colorful Monkey.
Colorful Monkey, leaning on his golden-black staff, struggled to stand. His bloodshot eyes glared at the Bull King, teeth bared, a low growl rumbling from his throat.
The Bull King smiled cruelly, stepping toward Colorful Monkey. “Born a lowlife! You itch for a beating if I don’t give it to you? You bastard without parents! You think taking orders from that old Black Mountain demon makes you a prince? Ha! You used to be arrogant, didn’t you? Arrogant! Keep being arrogant! Now you’re just a pitiful creature baring your teeth and glaring.”
Colorful Monkey roared and leapt, swinging his staff hard at the Bull King, cutting off his taunts.
“Die!” The Bull King’s hands each condensed a demonic orb as he faced the airborne Colorful Monkey.
With a thunderous blast, the Bull King was sent flying backward.
Behind him, Zhou Yu panted heavily. A hole had formed in the muddy ground where he had lain. Suddenly, the Zhou Yu in the furrow turned to a wisp of blue smoke with a soft “pop.”
“Damn! This trick never fails!” Zhou Yu clenched his fists and roared, limping on his broken leg as he charged the Bull King.
A duplication technique!
The Bull King, as he fell, propped himself up with his left hand, flipped over, and regained his footing. Blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth as he eyed Zhou Yu limping toward him and Colorful Monkey leaping again.
“Quite capable! You even know duplication technique!” The Bull King waved one hand, and the fallen Ox Fork hummed as it flew back into his grasp.
He looked at Zhou Yu and Colorful Monkey and said, “If it weren’t for me, you two might have grown strong enough to become demon kings. But you have no chance now—I will kill you both here!”
Pointing the fork at them, he continued, “Your strength is impressive, but sadly, you are still only demon generals.”
Colorful Monkey snarled, “How could your monkey grandpa die? You’re doomed!” He charged the Bull King later than Zhou Yu, but reached him first due to lighter injuries and superior jumping ability, while Zhou Yu’s broken leg slowed him.
“You really are a wild monkey. All this time, you’ve fought many demon kings yet still attack by leaping through the air with no leverage. Being a wildbred means being wildbred.” The Bull King tightened his grip on the fork, spun, and swung it in a circle before thrusting fiercely at Colorful Monkey.
As the Bull King said, Colorful Monkey had nowhere to brace himself and couldn’t dodge. His raised staff was too late to block. The fork pierced his chest, nearly breaking through his body. Only the mysterious, impenetrable monkey skin saved him from being skewered, though his ribs and internal organs were shattered.
Colorful Monkey vomited blood wildly and flew backward, crashing heavily.
“And you! Good adaptability and duplication technique, but no weapon at hand. You think your two fists can defeat a demon king?” The Bull King sneered, thrusting the fork again at Zhou Yu.
Unarmed, Zhou Yu was pierced instantly.
Clutching the fork tightly, blood dripping from his mouth, Zhou Yu glared fiercely and roared, “Fists enough will crush demon kings!”
The Bull King was momentarily shaken by Zhou Yu’s madness, stunned. At that moment, several figures suddenly burst from the mud beside him—each one a perfect copy of Zhou Yu, fists raised and striking simultaneously.
“You’re duplicates!” The Bull King, caught off guard and surrounded, found his two fists unable to fend off the many blows.
Blocking two punches, the rest landed heavily on him.
The Bull King staggered violently, blood pouring from his mouth and nose.
“Ah!” Enraged, he spat blood and his entire body radiated a fierce blue light, swelling rapidly, ignoring the swarm of Zhou Yu’s duplicates.
His form expanded until he transformed from half-man, half-bull into a towering, colossal wild bull over ten meters tall.
The giant bull swung its tail fiercely, sweeping away every Zhou Yu duplicate with sharp “pop” sounds.
“You bastard! Show your true form quickly, or I’ll tear you to pieces!” The giant bull snorted white breath and roared thunderously.
His cattle-sized eyes scanned the surroundings, hooves pounding the ground with resounding crashes.
This was the Bull King’s primal and strongest form. In this state, his strength and defense doubled. In his smaller half-man, half-bull form, he was more agile and faster. Normally, demon kings with huge bodies preferred their humanoid form for battles because sheer strength and defense without speed and agility would often result in being battered to pieces.
But now, Zhou Yu had forced the Bull King to reveal his true form.
“Big dumb bull! I’m right here!” Zhou Yu pulled the fork from his abdomen, blood spurting from the wound. However, his powerful regenerative ability sealed the wound almost instantly, though his internal injuries remained severe.
Enduring the pain, Zhou Yu channeled all his available energy into his hands and lifted the Ox Fork to jab fiercely at the giant bull.
The Bull King had not expected that the pierced Zhou Yu was the real one. In his mind, anyone who could duplicate would not use themselves as bait.
Precisely because of this oversight, and because the Bull King’s huge form slowed him down, Zhou Yu was close beneath him and landed a successful strike.
Holding the four-meter-long Ox Fork, Zhou Yu’s eyes gleamed with cruelty as he thrust it into the Bull King’s lower body. One fork tip pierced through the Bull King’s massive testicle, as large as a winter melon.
To stab the Bull King’s testicle in his true form was a feat worthy of Zhou Yu’s praise: “What a good Ox Fork!”
The fork glowed with green light, fresh blood streaming down relentlessly.
“Roar!” Overcome with agony, the Bull King cried out shrilly, stomping fiercely, too pained to notice Zhou Yu.
“Sure enough, a man’s life depends on his vital spots,” Zhou Yu said, then kicked off, retreating twenty meters to avoid being trampled by the enraged Bull King.
“I bet you now understand what it means to have a painful groin injury,” Zhou Yu said with a smile, leaning on the fork and watching the Bull King’s maddened thrashing.
Not far away, Colorful Monkey lay in a pit, blood flowing freely from his mouth. Enduring excruciating pain, he shouted loudly, “I want to stab him too, ahhh!”
Just as Colorful Monkey spoke, his golden-black staff suddenly blazed with golden light. The black parts flaked off like peeling plaster, revealing a shining golden surface covered in dense runes. Watching the runes, Colorful Monkey felt a strange familiarity, irresistibly drawn in, his mind suddenly clear.
A booming voice echoed in his ears: “Lengthen at will, shorten at will, thicken at will, thin at will.”
Colorful Monkey was momentarily stunned, then instinctively clamped his legs around the now-glowing golden staff, aiming it at the Bull King, who was pacing in circles.
“Lengthen!” Colorful Monkey shouted, and the golden staff instantly extended, shooting fiercely toward the Bull King.
By sheer coincidence, the staff pierced through the Bull King’s rear, exiting through his mouth, spraying blood like a fountain.
The Bull King couldn’t even cry out, collapsing heavily as the earth trembled.
“An explosive blow to the rear!”
The Bull King’s guttural scream tore the air, but at Colorful Monkey’s command, “Expand!” the staff instantly thickened and lengthened, tearing the Bull King apart from within.
The Bull King dissolved into a cloud of blood mist, his flesh and entrails scattered across the ground.
“To stab properly, it really has to be long,” Zhou Yu said with a sigh as he looked at the scattered remains, then relaxed.
Once the intense tension eased, exhaustion and pain flooded over Zhou Yu like waves. Even one as resilient as him could barely resist.
With a heavy thud, Zhou Yu collapsed onto the ground.
