Chapter Eighty-Four: The Battle with the Blue Wolf King
The Blue Wolf King’s throat was locked in Qin Feng’s iron grip, suffocating as oxygen eluded it. For all its ferocity, even a wolf king could not withstand such force. It had underestimated Qin Feng’s strength; even a surprise attack had failed. Realizing it needed to break free from his hands to survive, the Blue Wolf King clawed desperately at the earth, gouging a pit in the ground with its front paws—a testament to its own formidable power.
But terror seized the Blue Wolf King. It could not have imagined Qin Feng’s prowess would be so overwhelming. Now, it wished only to flee, abandoning any thought of battle. In a sudden moment of clarity, it understood why the rest of the pack had scattered: this upright creature was a force of nature. It had once believed the pack would destroy the interloper, only to witness the annihilation of its kin instead. Now, it knew with chilling certainty that if it did not escape, it too would fall to this upright beast.
Within its mind, Qin Feng had become an invincible primordial monster, a being not to be trifled with—any confrontation would surely end in disaster.
“Blue Wolf King, do you think you can escape? That’s impossible. You cannot run from me. I will show you what true combat means.” Qin Feng would never let his quarry slip away so easily; he had struggled mightily to secure this hold around its throat.
Yet with every thrash, the Blue Wolf King sapped more and more of Qin Feng’s strength. This was no ordinary wolf king—it possessed immense power, and its relentless struggle could change the tide at any moment.
Qin Feng felt his own energy waning. If this continued, the Blue Wolf King might exhaust him and break free. If it escaped, the consequences would be dire: as king of the wolves, it could return with a new pack, placing him in grave peril.
What should he do? Qin Feng racked his brain, determined not to let the Blue Wolf King escape so easily. As his strength ebbed and time pressed in, inspiration struck at the last possible instant. Yes, I can deal with the Blue Wolf King this way.
Drawing on his experience, Qin Feng devised a new strategy. He believed it would work.
In a flash, he released his hold and gasped for breath, desperate to recover his strength. The Blue Wolf King felt its throat loosen and, sensing its chance, wasted not a moment. It bolted away without looking back, knowing well now the terror of Qin Feng’s might.
At that moment, the only thought on the Blue Wolf King’s mind was escape. Fleeing meant safety. To remain was death, for Qin Feng stood before it as a god of war. If it lingered, disaster would surely follow.
Qin Feng, having regained much of his strength, fixed the Blue Wolf King with a steely gaze. “You cannot escape, Blue Wolf King. Today, I shall write the tale of a wolf king’s defeat.” Calm and resolute, Qin Feng prepared to display the full extent of his power.
In a blur, he charged at the Blue Wolf King with incredible speed, closing the distance in an instant. His hands shot forth, seizing the wolf’s throat once more, and he drove it forcefully to the ground.
The Blue Wolf King, focused solely on flight, was caught completely off guard and slammed into the earth.
“I let you ambush me, Blue Wolf King. Now, taste a surprise attack yourself. Let me show you what real combat means.” Qin Feng’s eyes flashed with a sharp light. Pinning the wolf down with his left hand, he freed his right.
“You attacked me. You led your pack against me. The tables have turned—not in thirty years, but in less than thirty minutes. Now I fight you, and I will see you destroyed.” His voice was cold as he raised his fist and brought it crashing down upon the Blue Wolf King’s skull.
With a thunderous crack, his fist landed, splitting the wolf’s head and drawing blood. Though the Blue Wolf King’s skull was thick, Qin Feng’s fist forced blood from the wound, and his own knuckles were torn. But he cared nothing for pain; he was determined to end the Blue Wolf King.
A terrible howl split the air. The Blue Wolf King had not expected such a powerful blow. If this continued, its skull might shatter. Sensing mortal danger, it struggled desperately, but Qin Feng’s grip was like iron. No matter how it fought, it could not break free.
“You attacked me. You led your pack against me. Now, within minutes, I return the favor. I will see you destroyed.” Qin Feng’s anger grew as he recalled how close he had come to death at the wolves’ jaws. He would show the Blue Wolf King the price of its actions.
Fueled by his rage, Qin Feng continued his assault.
His fist rose and fell in a relentless barrage, each blow echoing with a deafening crash as blood sprayed from the Blue Wolf King’s head. Still, the great wolf struggled, desperate to escape.
Unknowingly, Qin Feng’s strength was ebbing, but the Blue Wolf King clung stubbornly to life.
He persisted, but his efforts seemed in vain. Then, his gaze fell upon the military dagger lying on the ground—the same one he had dropped during the earlier struggle. He realized he could use it to end the fight.
Releasing his grip, Qin Feng let go of the Blue Wolf King’s throat. Immediately, the wolf scrambled upright and staggered forward, its head streaming with blood. Though it looked barely alive, it still tried to flee, dragging itself away.
Suddenly, with a dull thud, the Blue Wolf King crashed headlong into a tree.
