A cold breeze swept through the air, heavy with a biting chill. Qin Feng’s mind raced. In an instant, a look of grim determination crossed his face as he hit upon a plan. It was incredibly risky, but to save his comrade, Black Wolf, he felt it was their only viable path.

"Here is the plan: I will draw the enemy away. You must take Black Wolf and get out of here," Qin Feng told the others.

Without waiting for a reaction from War Hawk or the rest of the team, he surged forward with resolute purpose.

"Feng, don't! Come back! It's too dangerous!" Snow Leopard shouted, realizing what Qin Feng was about to do.

Qin Feng intended to draw the enemy’s attention entirely to himself to allow the others to escape. He was effectively sacrificing himself, and they could not simply stand by and watch him walk into such peril.

The team was stunned. By the time they looked up, Qin Feng was already fifty meters away. War Hawk, frustrated, ordered the others to pursue, intending to help carry Black Wolf himself. However, he noticed that Qin Feng had suddenly changed direction, sprinting away from them with astonishing speed.

At that moment, Red Skull rallied the remaining militants and his own Blood Skull mercenary group to give chase. A vast swarm of pursuers closed in on Qin Feng’s trail. Whether Red Skull wanted him alive or had other plans, he did not immediately open fire with his sniper rifle; instead, he commanded his men to hunt Qin Feng down.

"I’m right here! Come on, you bastards! Isn't this who you’re looking for? Come and catch me if you can!" Qin Feng roared, firing his weapon back at the encroaching mob.

The pursuers spotted him and surged forward with guttural shouts, acting as if they meant to tear him apart limb from limb. They believed the mysterious mist in the jungle was a trick of Qin Feng’s doing, and their fury fueled their pursuit. They were determined not to let him slip away so easily.

"What is going on?" War Hawk and the others were bewildered, looking to one another for answers.

War Hawk, equally baffled by Qin Feng’s actions, shouted in exasperation, "Feng, get back here! It's dangerous!"

Qin Feng offered no reply, only shouting back at the pursuing pack, "Come on, you bastards! I’m right here! If you have the guts, come and kill me! I tell you, you’ll never take me down!"

He pushed his speed to the limit, a blurred silhouette darting through the jungle like prey hunted by a predator.

"Damn it!"
"Boy, you won't get away!"
"We must take him alive!"

The pursuers bellowed in rage, their frustration mounting. They fired blindly into the foliage, turning the jungle into a chaotic mess of flying debris and dust, as if the very forest were being torn to shreds.

"Damn it all!" War Hawk slammed his fist into a tree, sending a shower of leaves cascading down.

Flying Shadow looked at him urgently. "Captain, Feng has already gone. If we don't follow, we'll lose him, and his life will be in grave danger."

"I know," War Hawk replied, his voice low. "But can't you see? He’s trying to draw their fire. He’s sacrificing himself to save us and Black Wolf. If he stayed with us, the enemy would have swarmed us all. But we cannot abandon our brother to die alone. Everyone, stay alert—there was a sniper earlier, and we don't know if he’s still out there. Snow Leopard, carry Black Wolf. We move out. We have to save Feng. He is our comrade; we cannot let him die before our eyes."

"Go without me," Black Wolf interjected, his voice weak. "Carrying me will only slow you down. Leave me here to fight the enemy. At the very least, I can take some of them down with me."

"Shut up, Black Wolf," War Hawk snapped. "We don't abandon our own. Feng ran out there to save you, to save us all. We won't let his efforts go to waste."

"But—" Black Wolf tried to protest.

"No 'buts.' Don't be soft," War Hawk cut him off, turning to Snow Leopard. "Carry him."

"Yes, Captain!" Snow Leopard hoisted Black Wolf onto his back.

They pressed forward. They were comrades; they would not abandon one of their own to save themselves. That was not who they were. They had to save Qin Feng.

After running for some distance, they noticed that the vast majority of the pursuers were still fixated on Qin Feng’s path, ignoring the rest of the team entirely.

"It’s strange. Why are they acting as if we don't exist?" Snow Leopard wondered aloud. The others were equally confused, but the thought of Qin Feng facing hundreds of enemies alone stoked their anxiety, and they pushed their pace even harder.

The enemy forces were too numerous for a stealth attack to be effective. Their only hope was to catch up and reunite with Qin Feng. They ran at breakneck speed, but soon reached the bank of a river. They watched in horror as Qin Feng leapt into the water, dived to the bottom, and vanished from sight.

"What?" The group cried out in shock, frozen in their tracks, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.

"No! No, Feng, come back!" They shouted, their faces etched with disbelief.

"Feng, you think you can make me owe you my life? That’s impossible! Do not die, damn you!" Black Wolf roared, his voice thick with agony and rage. He was devastated, yet there was nothing he could do.

"It's all my fault," Black Wolf muttered, his eyes filled with self-reproach. "If I hadn't been hit, Feng wouldn't have had to draw them away." The intensity of his grief and frustration caused him to cough up blood.
