Rain Shiliu stood outside Impel Down with a group of guards and wardens, intent on witnessing with his own eyes how this reckless brat would be devoured by a Sea King. Suddenly, the sea level surged upward, and an indescribably massive shadow emerged from beneath the surface. Torrents of seawater cascaded down like waterfalls, and cold cruelty gleamed in the beast’s crimson pupils. Even though only its head broke the surface, it was more than a hundred meters long—unquestionably a giant.

“Look, a Sea King has appeared. That brat will probably be bitten in half, right?”
“Impel Down is known as an unbreakable fortress precisely because it’s situated in the Calm Belt, the breeding ground of giant Sea Kings. Unless a ship has a seastone hull like the Navy warships, ordinary pirate ships don’t dare venture into the Calm Belt.”

Yet the scene that followed left everyone astonished. Shu Mingyuan landed steadily atop the Sea King’s head. Rather than coming to devour him, it seemed the Sea King had arrived specifically to escort him from prison!

Shu Mingyuan smiled softly at the long-unseen King of the Near Sea. With the insight of his Sharingan, he took in the full extent of the beast’s body hidden beneath the waves—nearly five hundred meters in total, marked by several grievous wounds, some nearly fatal. Clearly, its journey from the East Blue to Impel Down through the Calm Belt had been fraught with battles. Its size had almost doubled, and its aura was increasingly that of a true Sea King.

“Well done. It seems you still remember my words,” Shu Mingyuan said, patting the King of the Near Sea’s massive skull. His gaze betrayed a touch of emotion, words of gratitude left unsaid: You’ve suffered for my sake.

The journey from the East Blue to this place was far from short, and the competition of the deep sea is ever more ruthless—a never-ending struggle of big fish eating small fish, the weak becoming prey. In the Calm Belt, this law of the jungle was even more intense. Only the strong survive. Small Sea Kings are about a hundred meters long, mediums between one hundred and a thousand, and large ones begin at a full kilometer. As for the colossal Sea Kings, a warship was no bigger than one of their teeth.

A five-hundred-meter body was nothing remarkable here, yet this beast had survived, which spoke of hardships Shu Mingyuan could scarcely imagine.

The King of the Near Sea let out a low growl in response.

The closeness between man and beast stunned everyone on shore. Damn, do those two actually know each other?

“Follow me. One day, I’ll make you the true king among the colossal Sea Kings,” Shu Mingyuan said with quiet conviction. At that, the King of the Near Sea’s roar became a triumphant bellow.

“Let’s go. First, we’ll visit Amazon Lily,” he murmured after a moment’s thought. Amazon Lily was the nearest island, and though it was rumored to be inhabited solely by women, its martial culture was renowned. Pirate Empress Boa Hancock had fascinated him in his previous life, and now, no matter what, he was determined to see the island for himself.

“Farewell. Thank you all for your generous hospitality these past three months. Perhaps we’ll meet again someday.” Shu Mingyuan turned, gazing up at Rain Shiliu with a faint, though unmistakably sinister, smile.

“Damn you! Don’t get cocky, brat. Your bounty will be known the world over, and every crime you committed in Impel Down will have the whole world after you!”

“Haha, well, that’s just great. I’ll be waiting,” Shu Mingyuan replied, waving as he and the Sea King gradually disappeared from view.

But they hadn’t gone far when the waters ahead began to churn. From beneath the waves, an even larger silhouette surfaced—the water rose, and a Sea King twice the size of the King of the Near Sea emerged, baring its gaping maw and lunging straight for them, the force of its attack terrifying.

“Look, a true giant Sea King has appeared! Will it devour them in one bite?”

The King of the Near Sea roared, ready to fight back. Surviving here as a medium-sized Sea King proved its extraordinary nature; perhaps even regular large Sea Kings were no match for it.

Shu Mingyuan gently patted its head, and his voice calmed the beast’s raging heart. “You’ve struggled for four months. Let me handle this one.”

With a push from his toes, he launched himself into the air, stepping swiftly across the sky with Moonwalk toward the giant Sea King. To the Sea King, Shu Mingyuan looked no bigger than an ant—utterly beneath its notice. Its eyes were fixed only on the King of the Near Sea, seeing a feast in that enormous body.

“Heh, so you dare ignore me.”

“Super Multiplication Technique: Mega Pushing Palm!”

With a low shout, his outstretched arm instantly expanded, this time far surpassing thirty meters—swelling to a full hundred meters, the absolute limit of his current physique.

“Armament Haki: Hardening!”

Jet-black Haki coated his massive hand, and under the stunned gaze of all present, he struck out with a titanic palm. The ferocious Sea King, never expecting its would-be prey to grow so huge, was caught completely off guard. The Mega Pushing Palm, wrapped in chakra and crackling with the force of a storm, slammed hard into its lower jaw.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion resounded. Shu Mingyuan’s blow shattered the giant Sea King’s jaw, its massive teeth obliterated in an instant. The force twisted its mouth grotesquely, leaving its face a mangled, bloody ruin—one of its eyes even burst under the impact!

Such terrifying power!

The colossal Sea King shrieked in agony, its immense head crashing into the sea and sending waves a hundred meters high soaring. Then, its entire body slowly sank beneath the surface.

The wardens and guards of Impel Down were struck dumb once more. To drive away a giant Sea King with a single blow—was such power truly human?

Even the King of the Near Sea stared wide-eyed at the tiny figure in mid-air, a strange chill of fear creeping into its heart, its awe of Shu Mingyuan growing ever deeper.

He returned to the King of the Near Sea’s head, casually dusting off his palms. Seeing its terrified look, he chuckled, “Don’t think you’re the only one who’s grown. I’ve made a lot of progress myself these past four months. If you ever anger your master, I’ll cook you into soup.”

The King of the Near Sea let out a plaintive roar.

With a master like this—one who threatened to stew him at the slightest provocation—what else could he do but protest in vain?
