Chapter Fifty-Nine: Wandering Through Qingbei University and Joining Feilong Academy
Under the guidance of Gu Panpan, Yang Feng began to familiarize himself with Qingbei University.
Upon arriving at the Academic Affairs Office, Yang Feng completed the enrollment procedures. In truth, most of the formalities had already been handled for him by Li Liushui. Since Yang Feng had been personally brought into Qingbei University by Li Liushui, the director of the Academic Affairs Office treated him with great courtesy.
While there, Yang Feng inquired about his sworn sister, Ning Qingcheng. After searching the records, the director confirmed that Ning Qingcheng was indeed a student at Qingbei University. However, all information concerning her at the university was completely blank.
Leaving the office, Yang Feng wore a worried expression. Gu Panpan, puzzled, asked, “Yang Feng, who exactly is this Ning Qingcheng to you?”
He replied softly, “She’s my sworn sister!”
He simply couldn’t understand why, after entering Qingbei University, all of Ning Qingcheng’s files had become blank. Yet according to the records, she had indeed been admitted.
At this moment, Gu Panpan said, “Yang Feng, actually, cases like this are quite normal at Qingbei University.”
Hearing this, Yang Feng turned to her and asked, “What do you mean by that?”
Gu Panpan explained, “Your sworn sister might be carrying out a special mission assigned by the university. Some missions require secrecy, so nothing appears in the records.”
“There’s another possibility: she may no longer be in the main body of the university. I don’t mean she dropped out, but rather, she might have entered one of Qingbei’s special departments.”
“Qingbei University has many departments that, while technically a part of the university, operate independently. The most renowned are the Supernatural Department, the Myth Department, and the Flying Dragon Department, among others.”
“There are about ten such departments at Qingbei. Once you join one, your file information becomes blank. So, I suspect your sworn sister has joined one of these, and you have nothing to worry about.”
After hearing her explanation, Yang Feng let out a breath, feeling slightly relieved. Though he hadn’t found Ning Qingcheng, at least he had made it into Qingbei University. Now that he was here, there would be plenty of time to search for her.
He still remembered that the last time he had heard from her was a month ago. In the time since, she hadn’t contacted him at all. Perhaps she was indeed carrying out some special mission for the university or had joined one of the special departments.
Gu Panpan smiled and comforted him, “Don’t worry, Yang Feng! Trust me, your sister is fine.”
Yang Feng nodded and said, “Gu Panpan, thank you for everything today.”
Gu Panpan smiled, “We’re friends, no need for thanks. By the way, besides showing you around the university, I have another task to complete…”
Although Yang Feng and Gu Panpan had walked for hours, they had only seen less than half of the campus. Qingbei University was enormous, like a small city. There were also many specialized academies—if you weren’t part of a particular major, you couldn’t even enter its facilities.
Soon, Gu Panpan brought Yang Feng to the Flying Dragon Academy.
“Panpan, you’re back!”
A stunning woman with a curvaceous figure and delicate features approached them.
Gu Panpan greeted her with a smile, “Senior, I’ve brought him.”
The woman glanced at Yang Feng with curiosity. “So this is the student personally brought in by the Sword Saint?”
Gu Panpan nodded, “Yes! His name is Yang Feng, this year’s top scorer in the National College Entrance Exam.”
She then turned to Yang Feng, “Yang Feng, let me introduce you. This is our senior, Lin Xue.”
Lin Xue extended her hand, smiling. “Hello, I’m Lin Xue, a female swordswoman, level twenty-four.”
Yang Feng nodded in return, “Hello, I’m Yang Feng, a Curse Master, level nineteen.”
Upon hearing Yang Feng’s introduction, those nearby showed signs of surprise.
“What? Only level nineteen?”
“Gu Panpan, are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
“Even if you’re bringing someone into the Flying Dragon Academy, you can’t just pick up any weakling!”
At that moment, a man wielding a heavy sword walked in.
Gu Panpan’s face turned displeased. “Xiao Tiance, watch your mouth! Yang Feng isn’t weak; he’s this year’s national top scorer.”
Xiao Tiance replied disdainfully, “So what if he’s the top scorer? Compared to us, those exam champions are all worthless!”
“We’ve seen plenty of so-called top scorers before, and every one of them was rubbish!”
With an air of arrogance, he clearly didn’t regard Yang Feng as anything special.
The others around seemed to share Xiao Tiance’s sentiment, regarding Yang Feng with the same dismissive sneer.
Gu Panpan retorted, “If you’re so amazing, Xiao Tiance, why didn’t you ever become a national top scorer yourself?”
“Hmph!”
Faced with her rebuke, Xiao Tiance merely snorted and dismissed her.
He looked at Yang Feng with scorn. “So, you’re the one the Sword Saint brought into the university? Don’t get cocky just because you have powerful backing.”
“Let me tell you, in the Flying Dragon Academy, only strength matters. Your connections are useless here.”
“For this entrance exam, we’re willing to let you join us, but you’d better not drag us down.”
“If you hold us back, don’t blame me for being harsh!”
Yang Feng was left speechless by this display. He’d met arrogant people before—like Zhao Haoran, the young master of the Four Seas Society—but none as outrageously arrogant as Xiao Tiance.
Suddenly, Yang Feng muttered, “Idiot.”
As the words left his lips, the heavy sword in his hand burst into blue ice flames, a surge of powerful energy erupting forth.
Seeing this, Gu Panpan stepped between them. “Xiao Tiance, don’t you dare!”
At that moment, Lin Xue spoke up. “Xiao Tiance, stand down!”
Only after glancing at Lin Xue did Xiao Tiance withdraw his aura.
“For Sister Xue’s sake, I’ll let you off this time.”
With that, Xiao Tiance shot Yang Feng a venomous glare. Though he let it go for the moment, his eyes were filled with resentment.
