After driving away the evil spirits at the Qingfeng Temple, Liu Kaixin decided to stay behind and, together with Daoist Xuan Yi and others, delve into the truth hidden beneath the surface. As their investigation deepened, the clues gradually pointed to an ancient legend—a mysterious tale about a primordial demon god.

Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi pored over numerous ancient texts in the temple’s scripture library, finally finding a record in a yellowed manuscript. According to the text, in the dawn of time, when heaven and earth first opened and all things existed in chaos, there was a mighty demon god who sought to dominate the entire world. Leading countless evil spirits, he ravaged the lands, leaving devastation and darkness wherever he went.

To save all beings, the ancient gods joined forces against this demon. After a fierce and tragic battle, they sealed the demon beneath a temple in the far north, setting a powerful seal to prevent his return. That very temple was the one behind the Qingfeng Temple’s courtyard—now destroyed by Liu Kaixin.

“From this, it seems likely that the evil spirits we encountered escaped when the demon’s seal weakened,” Liu Kaixin said, closing the manuscript with a furrowed brow and a grave expression.

Daoist Xuan Yi nodded solemnly, eyes filled with concern. “If the demon truly is about to awaken, chaos will engulf the world. We must find a way to reinforce the seal before it’s too late.”

As they discussed, a young temple attendant burst in anxiously. “Master, bad news! A group of mysterious people has arrived in town, asking suspicious questions about the temple.”

Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi exchanged a glance, a sense of foreboding rising within them. They stood immediately and followed the attendant into town. There, a group of figures robed in black had gathered in the town square, their faces dark and eyes glowing with an eerie light.

Approaching them, Daoist Xuan Yi clasped his hands respectfully and asked, “Friends, may I inquire what brings you to our small town? Why do you seek information about the temple?”

The leader, a man in black robes, shot them a cold glance. “We’ve heard that beneath this temple lies the seal of the ancient demon god. We’ve come to investigate. Those wise enough will step aside; otherwise, don’t blame us for being ruthless.”

Liu Kaixin’s anger flared. He stepped forward, gripping the hilt of his blade, and declared loudly, “The demon god is a great evil in this world, and the seal exists to protect all living beings. What is your true purpose?”

The black-robed man sneered, “The fate of mortals means nothing to us. We seek power alone. Once the demon awakens, his strength will be ours, and the entire world will be under our control!”

With that, he waved his hand, and his followers encircled them, assuming aggressive stances. Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi, undaunted, began casting spells, ready to face their foes.

The battle erupted instantly. The black-robed sorcerers unleashed strange, unpredictable spells—dark beams shooting toward Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi. Liu Kaixin wielded his Open Gate Blade, its light shimmering as it deflected the dark energies. Daoist Xuan Yi waved his dust whisk and chanted incantations, golden runes flying forth to counter the enemy’s magic.

The fight was fierce and relentless. Liu Kaixin realized these foes were formidable: though their magic was malevolent, it bore unique potency. Moreover, they seemed well-informed about the seal, arousing his suspicion.

During the skirmish, Liu Kaixin noticed one black-robed figure quietly retreating toward the temple ruins. Alarmed, he guessed the man sought to sabotage the seal amid the chaos. Without hesitation, Liu Kaixin activated “Piercing through Clouds and Mist” and dashed after him in a blur.

The black-robed man quickened his pace, but Liu Kaixin pursued relentlessly. He finally intercepted the man before the ruined temple.

“Try to break the seal? You’ll have to get through my blade first!” Liu Kaixin said coldly.

A ruthless gleam flashed in the man’s eyes. “Boy, you refuse to heed warnings and must suffer the consequences! Today, no one will stop us!”

He suddenly pulled a black talisman from his chest, chanting as it emitted a powerful dark light aimed at the temple ruins. Liu Kaixin’s heart tightened; that light carried immense power that could shatter the seal completely if it struck.

Without hesitation, Liu Kaixin unleashed “All Things Return to One,” gathering all his strength to slash through the dark beam. A thunderous explosion rocked the air as blade and shadow collided, the force sending both combatants flying backward.

Struggling to his feet, blood spattered from Liu Kaixin’s mouth. His eyes blazed with resolve. “I will never let you succeed!”

The black-robed man, grievously wounded, regarded Liu Kaixin with wary hatred but refused to give up. He raised the talisman once more to attack.

At that moment, Daoist Xuan Yi arrived, his face pale. “That is... the Demon God Talisman! They have obtained one of the Demon God Talismans!”

Liu Kaixin asked, puzzled, “Daoist Xuan, what is this talisman?”

Daoist Xuan Yi’s expression grew grave. “The Demon God Talisman is the key to unlocking the demon’s seal. Legend says only by gathering all seven talismans can the seal be fully broken. I didn’t expect they already have one.”

Liu Kaixin’s heart sank. The situation was far more perilous than before. He looked at the black-robed man and said, “Hand over the talisman, or today will be your last.”

The man sneered, “If you want it, come and take it!”

With that, the black-robed man launched another fierce attack. Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi fought desperately in tandem. After a fierce struggle, Liu Kaixin spotted an opening and unleashed “Heaven and Earth Cleave,” slashing the enemy down.

As the man fell, Liu Kaixin quickly seized the Demon God Talisman. Holding it tightly, he silently vowed, “I must never allow the demon to awaken. I will find the other talismans and destroy them all.”

Daoist Xuan Yi came to his side. “Liu, you have my thanks. But this is only the beginning. We must find the remaining talismans quickly, or the consequences will be unimaginable.”

Liu Kaixin nodded solemnly. “Rest assured, Daoist. No matter the cost, I will stop the demon from rising!”

From that day forth, Liu Kaixin and Daoist Xuan Yi set out to search for the Demon God Talismans. Their journey was fraught with unknown dangers and challenges at every step. Yet Liu Kaixin’s heart held only one conviction: to protect all living beings and prevent the demon’s evil power from ever returning to the world.
