Yet, Luo Yunhe showed no sign of giving them a hint of her tactics. As they raised their hands to block her, she fiercely struck one man’s abdomen with her stick. The other blow landed squarely on the second man’s waist.

“Ah…!”
“Ah!”

Sharp screams pierced the air. Luo Yunhe had no intention of letting them off, for the constant dinging in her ears reminded her of the system deducting points from her. These two men were unknowingly handing her points, and she accepted them without hesitation.

“Stop, stop hitting us! We—we were wrong…” The two men, frightened by her ferocity, quickly begged for mercy.

But Luo Yunhe paid no heed to their pleas, swinging her stick relentlessly at them. Neither expected such a brutal beating so early in the morning. Grabbing their hoes, they fled in haste.

“If you dare act up again, I’ll beat you so badly your whole family won’t recognize you!” Luo Yunhe warned sharply.

Realizing her situation was far from ideal, she grabbed a basin and hurried toward home. Just as she rounded a corner, she spotted her greedy mother-in-law and sister-in-law.

“Tsk tsk, Luo Yunhe, shameless as ever. Early in the morning, seducing men here and getting all wet—aren’t you just putting on a show for them?”

More points being sent her way! Without a second thought, Luo Yunhe slapped Su Ruyi across the face.

“Keep your mouth shut if you can’t speak properly. If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll tear your mouth apart!” She spat the words out and turned to leave.

Before they could react, she had already put some distance between them.

Su Ruyi wanted to chase after her but was stopped by Su Chenshi.

“Mother, why are you stopping me? I want to beat her to death…”

“Calm down, don’t be afraid. I’ll make sure you get justice for this slap! As long as Luo Yunhe stays here, our family won’t have peace. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it!”

“Mother, you must get back at her for me!”

“Yes, yes, rest assured!”

Back home, after hanging her wet clothes, Luo Yunhe hid in her room. She took off the damp garments, leaving only her underclothes on.

She retrieved a thin quilt and wrapped herself tightly. Only after warming her body did she finally relax, then found Su Jingxuan’s clothes to wear.

Because she was petite, the clothes draped over her like a dress. She rolled up the pant legs and sleeves.

Afterwards, she took the wet clothes outside to dry.

Su Chenshi and Su Ruyi returned and saw the clothes hanging in the courtyard but said nothing. Once the clothes were dry, they secretly gathered the two sets and put them away.

“You little bastard, let’s see how you come out now!”

With nothing better to do, Luo Yunhe picked up Su Jingxuan’s book and sat by the kang, reading.

The text was in traditional characters. Though she wasn’t very familiar with them, she could guess the meanings bit by bit.

She read cautiously, though she never cared much for books before—her days were mostly spent learning to brew wine alongside her father.

Now, as she delved into the book, she realized the knowledge within was vast and profound.

“Knock knock knock… Luo Yunhe, come out! There’s so much work to do at home, why are you hiding in your room?”

“Go cut pig grass immediately!” Su Chenshi shouted from outside.

Luo Yunhe ignored her.

“Knock knock knock, did you hear me? Are you coming or not? If you don’t go, I’ll make Su Jingxuan go instead. If I can’t handle you, how could I handle him?”

Luo Yunhe: “…” Shamelessness knows no bounds. She considered letting them be, but they had walked right into her trap.

Setting the book aside, she put on her shoes and opened the door.

“Yap yap yap, what are you yapping about?”

Though she wore Su Jingxuan’s clothes with sleeves and pant legs rolled up, the shoulders sagged awkwardly, giving her a peculiar look.

Su Chenshi’s face darkened upon seeing her.

“Go cut pig grass!” she barked, eyeing Luo Yunhe’s strange attire before turning away.

Luo Yunhe glared coldly. Thinking of how they made things difficult for Su Jingxuan, she reluctantly compromised once more.

Back in the yard, as she grabbed her sickle and looked for a basket, she suddenly noticed her clothes had vanished from the drying line.

She only had those clothes and the ones scavenged from her sister-in-law. Now both sets were gone. She couldn’t keep wearing Su Jingxuan’s clothes all the time…

Luo Yunhe dropped the sickle and stormed toward Su Ruyi’s room with fierce determination.

The door was closed. She started pounding on it, unrelenting and forceful.

“Knock knock knock… Su Ruyi, open up!”

Inside, Su Ruyi and Su Chenshi sat silently, staring at the door, neither speaking nor showing any intention of opening it.

“So you won’t open the door, huh? Fine. Su Ruyi, you dare treat me like this, hiding my clothes? Don’t say I didn’t warn you!”

After making some noise in the yard, Luo Yunhe fell silent.

Inside, the two women exchanged glances before cautiously opening the door.

As soon as it cracked open, a stick came crashing toward the doorway, startling them backward.

Luo Yunhe, face cold, slapped the stick against her shoulder and stepped inside, her icy gaze fixed on them.

“You just won’t learn until it’s too late!” she said, slamming the stick hard onto the table.

The blow left a deep dent in the wood.

Su Ruyi and Su Chenshi shrank their necks, fearful.

“What… what do you want?” Su Ruyi stammered.

“I warn you, you better get my clothes back. The ones I washed and hung up. If I don’t see them when I return, I’ll make sure you walk around naked every day from then on.” Luo Yunhe waved the stick threateningly.

After glaring at them one last time, she turned and left.

Despite her masculine attire, she went to cut pig grass.

She didn’t want Su Jingxuan to be overworked; she wanted to share the burden.

It was her first time cutting pig grass and wielding a sickle; her hands soon bore several cuts and developed calluses on her palms.

After much effort, she managed to carry a basketful of bamboo grass back home.

Upon returning, she saw the two sets of clothes hanging on the line as before, and a sneer curled at the corner of her mouth.

Indeed, it takes a villain to deal with a villain!
