Last time, Luo Yunhe had been too ruthless, and she was still somewhat shaken by it. Now, Su Ruyi’s coaxing stirred her inner resolve.
“Do you think the two of us can take her on? Last time she pinned me underwater…” Xiaoqing hesitated to say more.
“She’s alone; how could the two of us not handle her? Besides, we’ll just…” Su Ruyi whispered in her ear.
Xiaoqing nodded after hearing her.
Luo Yunhe wandered around and unknowingly arrived at a remote patch overrun with wild grass.
At first, she paid little attention, merely glancing around instinctively. But just as she reached this spot, something caught her eye—a branch extending out from the weeds.
She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, rubbed them, then crouched down to examine it carefully. Only then did she confirm that the object before her was exactly what she suspected.
Her mood suddenly surged with an inexplicable excitement.
Standing up, she scrutinized the entire area. The more she looked, the happier she became.
Because this wasteland was filled entirely with grapevines.
Most were hidden beneath the grass, so if one wasn’t careful, they wouldn’t be noticed at all.
She wondered why there were grapevines in such an ancient place.
At that moment, a villager passed by. Luo Yunhe quickly approached and grabbed her arm, ignoring the woman's surprise as she pointed toward the land.
“Auntie, whose land is this? Why are these strange plants here with so much grass? Why hasn’t anyone been tending to it?”
“Little girl, you must be from out of town; it’s normal not to know. A few years back, some wealthy gentleman planted these odd trees here, claiming they’d bear something. But after two years, nothing came of it, so the land was just abandoned.”
“Auntie, do you know where that gentleman is from? Where does he live?”
Luo Yunhe’s expression grew excited.
Despite the grapevines being overgrown and neglected, if they fell into her hands, she was certain she could nurture them back to health. Perhaps she could even start making wine someday.
“Little girl, you’ll need to ask the village chief about that. You seem quite interested—could it be you have some plans?”
Luo Yunhe did have plans, but she wouldn’t reveal them.
“Alright, thank you, auntie!”
Seeing her eager gaze fixed on the grapevines, the woman kindly warned her.

“Little girl, nothing here is of any use. If you want to buy land, there are plenty of better plots nearby. No one wants this wasteland, so you should look elsewhere!”
“I understand, auntie. Thank you!”
After sending the woman away, Luo Yunhe carefully examined the wasteland once more.
The more she looked, the happier she became. There were nearly fifty grapevines scattered throughout.
But the area was vast. Securing it would take considerable effort.
Luo Yunhe circled the land repeatedly, determined to claim it no matter what, for the grapes held great potential.
Besides, with her system, exchanging certain special items would allow these vines to flourish under her care.
How could she take it over?
Meanwhile, Su Ruyi clutched a burlap sack, searching for Luo Yunhe without success, her face growing more annoyed and impatient.
“Where did that damned little brat run off to?”
“She shouldn’t be far… let’s keep looking.”
As they scanned the area, a woman approached.
“Hey, I don’t know where that young girl came from, but she wants to buy that wasteland? No sense at all. If she doesn’t listen to reason, she’ll regret it…”
The woman muttered as she walked by.
Su Ruyi and Xiaoqing’s eyes lit up instantly. They hurried toward the wasteland.
“Soon, we’ll…”
Su Ruyi whispered as they walked.
Xiaoqing felt a strange excitement stirring at the thought of revenge.
The two sneaked toward the wasteland and spotted a small figure studying the land.
Su Ruyi signaled for silence; they crept closer.
Just as they neared, the sack they carried was suddenly opened.
With a burst of speed, they lunged toward the small figure, sack wide open.

At the moment the sack’s opening was about to cover her head, Luo Yunhe crouched down.
Two figures and the sack flew over her head, crashing to the ground.
Without giving them a chance to recover, Luo Yunhe quickly rose, raised her foot, and delivered a fierce kick to one of them, followed by several more strikes.
“Ah…”
“Stop… please…”
“It hurts…”
Luo Yunhe remained silent, her blows heavy yet leaving no lasting injuries. After a flurry of punches and kicks, she dashed away, laughing heartily.
Ah, Su Ruyi, you never expected your scheme to backfire, did you?
What surprised Luo Yunhe most was that Su Ruyi had conspired with the girl who had pushed her into the water yesterday.
Those two women truly were partners in mischief!
Today served as a lesson for them.
Upon returning home, Luo Yunhe immediately ran into Su Chen’s wife.
Seeing Luo Yunhe, her eyes blazed with fury, and her hands clenched into fists.
“You damned little brat, running off early in the morning. No one here is for idling about!” She threw down her bamboo basket and sickle in front of her.
“Go gather pigweed! If you can’t find any, don’t come back!”
Luo Yunhe winced. “Ow… my stomach hurts so much, I must have eaten something bad. I need to relieve myself. You go by yourself!”
Without waiting for a reply, she slipped quickly into the courtyard.
Su Chen’s wife stared incredulously, but Luo Yunhe had already vanished from sight.
“You lazy little brat, do you think I can’t handle you?” She rolled up her sleeves, picked up the sickle and basket, and stormed off.
