Jiang Chiyu watched Wei Feng take his first bite of the crayfish, her heart brimming with anticipation as she asked, "How is it? Delicious? Do you like it?"
The aroma burst on his tongue, the unique texture addictive. A smile curled at Wei Feng’s lips as his gaze settled on Jiang Chiyu. Under her expectant eyes, he replied, "Anything you make, I like."
"Oh~" Fang Yingying, standing nearby, shivered from head to toe upon overhearing their exchange, unable to help but sigh, trembling all over. "Chiyu, you two are way too lovey-dovey."
Wei Feng gave Fang Yingying a faint smile, offering no rebuttal.
Relieved by Wei Feng’s response, Jiang Chiyu exhaled and stuffed a freshly peeled crayfish into her mouth with satisfaction. "That’s good. We’re definitely going to win."
Just then, pride beaming on her face, her rosy, puckered lips almost looked like they could hold a little kettle.
Seeing this, Wei Feng pulled out a napkin to wipe the oil from the corner of Jiang Chiyu’s mouth. "Don’t worry, I won’t let you lose."
"Alright, it’s your turn to cook. Hurry up—I’m getting hungry." The clock in the living room struck twelve as Jiang Chiyu busied herself peeling crayfish, elbowing Wei Feng aside and pressing him eagerly.
"Okay." Obediently, Wei Feng showed no trace of impatience. With full sincerity, he agreed and reached out to untie the apron from Jiang Chiyu’s waist.
But Jiang Chiyu’s attention never wavered from the crayfish in her hands, utterly unaffected by the teasing crowd.
Lin Qingyue frowned deeply. All eyes were on Jiang Chiyu now, and in an instant, Jiang Chiyu had stolen Lin Qingyue’s aura completely.
Her gaze shifted to Yan Chuanzhou, who stood quietly on the side, intently watching the interaction between the two. His face betrayed no hint of discomfort, but Lin Qingyue knew well that Yan Chuanzhou was already captivated by Jiang Chiyu.
Yan Chuanzhou stood there helplessly, constrained by the cameras from showing any displeasure. At this moment, any word from him would have been inappropriate.
He had no right to criticize Jiang Chiyu.
Realizing this only fueled his resentment. He clenched his phone tightly, his anger unspent.
Wei Feng entered the kitchen and began washing two lotus roots, slicing them thinly, then soaking them in water for a while.
He turned to mince the meat, chopped some scallions, sprinkled them into the meat, added a dash of sesame oil and soy sauce to enhance the flavor, then put on plastic gloves to mix everything thoroughly.

Using another bowl, he measured some flour and gradually added water, stirring until it became a fluid batter. Then he retrieved the soaked lotus slices.
Between two slices of lotus, he placed a suitable amount of meat filling, coated the lotus in the batter, and laid them in the preheated oil for frying.
When the lotus sandwiches turned golden, they were ready to be taken out.
The kitchen filled with tantalizing aromas, making everyone’s mouths water.
Drawn by the scent, Jiang Chiyu peeked curiously into the kitchen, her crayfish peeling slowing instinctively.
Her hunger awakened, she could no longer hold back and hurried to the kitchen doorway, asking Wei Feng, "It smells amazing. Is it ready to eat?"
Wei Feng looked up to see Jiang Chiyu still wearing her plastic gloves, stained with crayfish oil, her lips flushed red from the spice, breathing in and out sharply. A fine sheen of sweat covered her forehead.
"Almost done. Just a little longer—it’s still hot." Wei Feng’s gaze fell on the plate beside him, which held several freshly fried lotus sandwiches steaming lightly.
Impatient, Jiang Chiyu dashed forward, expertly removed her gloves, grabbed the plate, then turned back halfway to pick up one with chopsticks, offering it to Wei Feng. "You take the first bite."
Wei Feng was momentarily stunned, their eyes locking blankly. Seeing her earnest expression, he bit into it.
Once he finished, Jiang Chiyu carried the plate away. Watching her urgency, Wei Feng’s heart softened.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Jiang Chiyu ate the first lotus sandwich, her face radiating satisfaction.
"I want some too," Fang Yingying and Xu Chu immediately came forward, showing no hesitation.
[These two have been standing there with chopsticks ready the whole time—it's hilarious, too funny.]
[The "Jiang Feng Wei Chi" duo feeding each other is so sweet. Wei Feng’s eyes can’t hide his fondness—his entire heart and gaze belong to Jiang Chiyu. This isn’t just a dating show; it feels like their married life.]
[Hujie’s really come through this time. I declare "Jiang Feng Wei Chi" the real deal! Get married right here! I’m contributing to the gift!]
By the time Wei Feng brought out the remaining lotus sandwiches, Jiang Chiyu had nearly finished eating.

Rubbing her satisfied belly, Jiang Chiyu cast a look of praise at Wei Feng.
"Everyone, help yourselves." Wei Feng saved a few for himself and distributed the rest among the crew.
The third to enter the kitchen was Lin Qingyue. Unfortunately, unused to working with food, as she poured oil into the hot pan, some water on her hands splashed in, causing the hot oil to spatter wildly. She flailed the spatula in front of her, screaming incessantly.
At that moment, in front of the cameras, Lin Qingyue’s true colors showed. She cursed loudly, but the live stream’s audio was muted. Anyone with eyes could see what was really happening.
The production team hadn’t anticipated this outcome. Staff rushed into the kitchen and said, "Teacher Lin, maybe we should call it a break for now."
Lin Qingyue flung the spatula aside, her face dark and displeased, and stormed out of the kitchen.
Medical personnel quickly gathered around to check her burns. Lin Qingyue kept crying out in pain, her brows furrowing.
Seeing this, Jiang Chiyu’s expression turned cold as she sat nearby, speaking sharply, "What’s there to be afraid of? Even as women, we shouldn’t be so fragile. If it’s like this now, how will you stand for your country on the battlefield in the future?"
Her words caused everyone to widen their eyes and gasp. Silence fell over the room; no one dared to respond.
[Although Hujie is a bit silly, I agree with what she said. Constantly screaming over cooking is a bit over the top.]
[Lin Qingyue’s image as a cool goddess is shattered for me. It’s just a small burn—was it really necessary to make such a fuss for everyone to watch?]
[With this drama, I half expected she’d lost an arm.]
However, because of that one remark, Jiang Chiyu’s social media was instantly flooded by Lin Qingyue’s fans. Many bystanders couldn’t stand it and jumped in to defend Jiang Chiyu, leading to fierce battles online.
Wei Feng was the first to break the deadlock. "Ayu’s used to cooking and isn’t fazed by this kind of thing. Miss Lin is new and naturally startled. Since it’s nothing serious, let’s continue with the filming."
Lin Qingyue’s eyes filled with grievance as she glanced at Yan Chuanzhou nearby, who looked indifferent and uncaring.
