Words Upon Release (A Must-Read)

Well... I had originally planned to launch this tomorrow, but my wife, currently suffering from the "pregnancy brain" that supposedly lasts three years, accidentally hit the VIP button while publishing the chapter.

I am truly speechless...

I must be the author with the most abrupt launch in the history of the internet, bar none.

Alright, since it is already live, I have no choice but to say a few words in advance.

To date, this book has been free for over five hundred thousand words. The reason for such a long period of free content was, first, the platform's support, and second, because I have just officially transitioned to this genre, and I wanted my long-time readers to get a feel for it before committing to a paid subscription.

In terms of the plot, I am personally quite satisfied. The elements I wanted to write, the deeper foreshadowing, and the characters—everything that needed to be laid out has been, and whatever needs to be resolved can be. It hasn't collapsed, nor has it veered off course, which is a significant achievement in itself.

I also believe that the final chapters of this volume will not disappoint you. They are coming soon; please be patient.

As this is my first time writing in this specific genre, I am bound to make mistakes. For instance, the worldview and outline for this book are incredibly complex and vast; I spent three whole months crafting them initially, leaving no detail to chance. The balance of each profession, the power scaling, the progression, and the unique ethos of every faction and force were all simulated and refined many times over.

Before I started writing this book, I wanted to create the web-novel equivalent of *GTA* or *Red Dead Redemption*. I wanted to write an ultra-realistic, fictional world. This direction remains my goal and my "path" for the future.

Of course, looking at it now, there is still much room for improvement. I have a long road ahead, and I must keep learning. For example, with such a massive architectural background, how to manage the pacing of the plot and character development; how to keep it from becoming dull; how to make it understandable, engaging, and thought-provoking for the reader—these are all extremely difficult tasks.

If my writing isn't up to the task, it could all fall apart in an instant. It is mentally exhausting—honestly, no less tiring than the genre I used to write. I’m not lying.

To be frank, when I reached about three hundred thousand words, I considered cutting the side plots to accelerate the pace and rush toward the climax.

But I hesitated for a long time, and ultimately, I decided to focus on telling the full story clearly, vividly, and with a stable structure.

In this regard, my wife has given me a great deal of support. Every day, she encouraged me to keep a calm mind and stop overthinking things.

Therefore, I feel the level of completion for this volume is acceptable; the characters I wanted to portray have come to life, and the plot progression hasn't strayed at all.
