Chapter Five: Wealth With Nowhere to Spend
“Can’t I just take the initiative with him?” Li Mida asked.
“No, you can’t. He doesn’t like women who are too forward. If you make the first move, he’ll think you’re promiscuous and won’t like you afterward. You have to play hard to get,” Ma Wu replied, feeling secretly pleased.
“What if he doesn’t respond to my advances?” Li Mida sounded a bit worried.
“Then you’ll have to put in more effort,” Ma Wu’s throat was starting to hurt. “Open the door, I’m leaving. This is where I take my leave.”
With that, Ma Wu carried Ma Ju Teng out of the apartment.
“What if I just give him something to help things along?” Li Mida called after him as he left.
He didn’t answer, rushing away to cough his lungs out where no one could see him.
Once he was satisfied, Ma Wu dragged Ma Ju Teng to his wrecked Mercedes.
He drove the car to a crowded area, stripped Ma Ju Teng of all his clothes, and left him lying naked on the seat.
He tossed a sign onto him that read: “Professional Food Delivery.”
“Let’s see how you show your face now,” Ma Wu snapped several photos before leaving. Out of sight, he removed his invisibility cloak.
The cloak was single-use. The moment he took it off, it melted into a puddle of water.
He made a mental note to send those photos to Lin Erke when he got the chance.
He was certain this scene would draw a crowd, with plenty of people snapping pictures.
Speaking of Lin Erke, ever since he had gifted her ten million Goldfish Coins yesterday—worth a million RMB—she’d been messaging him nonstop, asking why he was ignoring her.
“Are you streaming tonight? If you do, I’ll send you a gift,” Ma Wu messaged her.
“You’re still going to send gifts? You’ve already given me so much, isn’t it too much?” Lin Erke replied instantly.
“I’ve got money, nowhere to spend it,” Ma Wu replied.
He loved listening to Lin Erke sing. One day, he’d have her in his arms.
Evening soon approached. While chatting with Lin Erke, he set off to grab something to eat nearby.
He arrived at a noodle shop when his phone rang with a call from an unknown number.
“Hello?” Ma Wu answered.
“It’s Li Mida. When are you coming home?” A gentle voice floated through the speaker.
Her tone was soft, tinged with anticipation.
So she got his number—probably from the previous landlord.
She’s this eager to have me come home? Can’t wait to fulfill her dream, can she?
Ma Wu felt a bit dizzy. He’d thought this task would be impossible, but it was turning out to be a breeze.
“I’m out right now, about to have dinner,” he said cheerfully, his mood lifting.
He dared not go home yet. If he did, he might not be able to resist temptation, and things would happen that every man dreams of.
Li Mida was too beautiful, too alluring. Just thinking about being with such a goddess made his heart race. He needed to calm himself before facing her or he might give something away.
“Don’t… eat out. Food outside isn’t nutritious. Come home and I’ll cook for you,” Li Mida said shyly.
“Huh, why’s that? Why are you suddenly cooking for me?” Though Ma Wu sounded puzzled, he was smiling, “You’re not up to anything, are you?”
In her kitchen, Li Mida’s heart skipped a beat. Did he know? But that was impossible.
“No, not at all. You helped me today, so I wanted to treat you to dinner, that’s all,” she quickly explained.
“All right then, I’ll head back. But I’m a bit far away, so I might be late,” Ma Wu replied, turning away from the noodle shop to head home.
Just thinking about what was to come with a goddess like Li Mida made him tremble.
She was so stunning, so seductive—it was impossible to stay calm.
If he really got her, he’d be in heaven.
He walked slowly, dragging out the time. It was an hour before he made it back to the apartment, by which time night had fallen.
He knocked on the door, which opened instantly.
Li Mida appeared, dressed in a blue, sleeveless, form-fitting top, a micro-miniskirt, and black stockings that accentuated her legs.
She looked radiant, and a sweet fragrance filled the air.
Ma Wu said nothing, heart pounding as he stepped inside.
“Did you run all the way back? You’re drenched in sweat,” Li Mida said, closing the door and handing him a glass of water.
“Here, have some water.”
Ma Wu hesitated, certain there was something wrong with the drink.
Drink it, hurry up! Once you do, I’ll have succeeded.
Li Mida urged him, afraid he’d refuse.
“Oh well, might as well drink it and see what happens,” Ma Wu thought, raising the glass and downing it in one go.
He moved to the table, where a lavish dinner was laid out, complete with red wine and candlelight.
This wasn’t just a meal—this was a candlelit dinner for two.
“Oh dear, I grabbed the wrong glass. The water you drank had some of my supplements in it. Do you feel… strange at all?” Li Mida said, turning off the lights. The apartment was bathed in a warm, romantic glow.
Ma Wu felt a growing heat in his lower abdomen, as if a fire had been kindled inside him.
“Now that you mention it, I do feel a bit strange. My stomach’s burning up,” he replied.
Li Mida was secretly delighted, but said nothing.
A few more minutes passed, the atmosphere thick with romance, and Ma Wu was struggling to control himself.
“What kind of supplement was that? I’m feeling more and more… off,” he panted, staring at Li Mida. “I… I… I feel terrible, but you look so beautiful.”
Li Mida was startled by his expression. Was the supplement too strong?
Ma Wu’s desire was becoming impossible to suppress. Throat parched, his greedy eyes remained fixed on the beauty before him.
He rounded the table, closing in on the elegant, beautiful, and cool Li Mida.
“Sister Mida, you’re so beautiful.”
Li Mida panicked, confused and flustered, but she didn’t move away.
Taking her silence as encouragement, Ma Wu pressed her into a corner.
“But you’ll scare someone acting like this.”
“Sister Mida, I can’t hold back anymore. I want you,” Ma Wu said, feeling her softness, his heart trembling. Emboldened, he pulled her into his arms.
…
That supplement was no joke. After a night like that, Ma Wu felt as if his waist was no longer his own.
Early the next morning—
Ma Wu was awakened by his phone.
Ding! Congratulations, Master, you’ve completed your mission. You’ve earned 100 million Goldfish Coins.
“Awesome! Now I can dominate the Goldfish TV platform again!”
Ding! Congratulations, Master, here are your current stats:
Name: Ma Wu
Profession: Student
Hobbies: “Solo flying”
Spending Value: 1000
Show-off Value: 100
Tycoon Value: 500
Face-slapping Value: 100
Success Points: 300 (Goddess conquered)
“Haha, I’m officially a man who’s been with a goddess now,” Ma Wu said, planting a big kiss on his phone screen.
This Super Tycoon Tipping System was truly amazing—he loved it.
But he was a bit dissatisfied with the success points. He’d just conquered a super beauty like Li Mida and only got 300 points?
“Oh right, System, didn’t you say that spending five million would unlock the next mission?” Ma Wu asked via voice command.
Ding! Sorry, Master, your Tycoon Value isn’t high enough to trigger a new mission.
Looks like he’d need to spend more.
Now that he had 100 million Goldfish Coins, he needed to put them to good use. If he tipped them all, he could exchange them for ten million RMB.
Exhausted from the night before, Ma Wu cuddled up with Li Mida and slept till noon.
Elsewhere, at Lian’an City People’s Hospital—
Ma Ju Teng lay in bed, feeling miserable. The events of the previous day haunted him, inexplicable and bizarre.
Just then, his phone rang.
“Hello?” Ma Ju Teng answered weakly.
“Hey, what’s with the dead voice? Did you step in dog shit?” an angry voice barked through the phone.
Recognizing the caller, Ma Ju Teng’s unhappy face tensed with wariness.
“Y-Young Master Lei…”
“How’s the job I gave you? Did you get Li Mida or not?” the other man demanded arrogantly.
“I’m sorry, Young Master Lei. She refused,” Ma Ju Teng mumbled.
“Useless! You can’t even handle a simple task. Do you know how much I’ve sacrificed for Li Mida? Damn it, you’re worthless!” The man on the other end was Lei Bujing, heir to the Lei family of Guangfa City—wealthy, lecherous, and a notorious black sheep.
His hobbies were bullying, humiliating, and playing with women.
He’d been too busy to visit Lian’an City himself.
“Young Master Lei, it’s not my fault. Someone’s been interfering,” Ma Ju Teng protested, anxious to keep his wealthy backer. “A guy named Ma Wu’s been causing trouble. Otherwise, I’d have persuaded Li Mida by now.”
“Ma Wu? Who the hell is that? Never heard of him.”
