At this moment, Lei Ming had spent one hundred and fifty thousand on gifts, yet not a single viewer showed him any kindness. His earlier words seemed to have stirred public anger, and now, whatever he did, the audience only hurled insults at him.

"Ha, you think you can sleep with Lin Erke for only one hundred and fifty thousand? What nonsense. Take a look at yourself."

"Probably some rich kid squandering his family's money. I feel sorry for his parents."

"Maybe not. I bet he's from a poor family, twisted inside, trying to prove himself by spending all his family's hard-earned money on streamers."

"No way—does this mean someone will be asking Goldfish TV for a refund tomorrow?"

Lei Ming had spent the money, but failed to achieve the desired effect; his expression was as grim as if he'd swallowed dirt. Ma Wu glanced at the time—it was getting late, and the security staff inside Dragon Phoenix Pavilion were nearly done with their investigation. There wasn't much time left for himself and Ye Qing.

Eager to end it all and leave with Ye Qing, Ma Wu turned to Lei Ming and said, "Alright, that's enough, isn't it? I'm taking this beauty with me."

Lei Ming had begun to retreat, but upon hearing Ma Wu's intention to take Ye Qing away, he looked at Ye Qing's cold, beautiful face and suddenly roared, "Compete? Why not? I refuse to believe you, a pauper, can outspend me! One hundred and fifty thousand is just pocket change."

Those around shook their heads in pity for Lei Ming. Ma Wu had casually spent one hundred thousand on gifts, already proving his watch was genuine. To stubbornly confront a wealthy man without knowing his limits—no one could fathom Lei Ming's reasoning.

Ma Wu chuckled. "Alright," he said, then raised his hand and performed an operation. He immediately took Ye Qing's hand and headed downstairs.

Lei Ming was stunned, about to intervene, when Lin Erke's voice sounded from his phone: "Thank you to this generous supporter for gifting five million. Thank you for your support—Lin Erke will bring even more joy to her audience."

Lei Ming, and everyone else present, heard her words.

Five million—such a sum would be astronomical not only for rich kids, but even for their wealthy fathers. In this city, those who possess five million are rare, let alone those who casually tip that much to a streamer.

Lei Ming's expression shifted repeatedly, until he finally closed his mouth in frustration. Clearly, he'd run up against an immovable force tonight. Judging by Ma Wu's extravagant manner, his resources could well rival Lei Ming's own father.

The crowd gasped in awe:

"He really has money. Who would've thought?"

"Haha, so satisfying—watching this rich man play the fool and slap that idiot's face."

"Don't be silly—he never played the fool. He's always been the tiger; it's that idiot who insisted on seeing him as a pig. Maybe he's the real pig."

Lei Ming, bested, was now the focus of even more unabashed ridicule. With no heart left for argument, he slunk off to a corner to drink alone.

Ma Wu, hand in hand with Ye Qing, walked out together like a pair of lovers. Suddenly, the system chimed:

Ding! Task "Humiliate Lei Ming" completed. Reward: one hundred million Goldfish Coins.

Ding! You displayed your extraordinary wealth before everyone on the second floor of Eddie Bar. Gained five hundred points of "Pretentiousness Value."

Ding! You humiliated rich kid Lei Ming, leaving him speechless. Gained five hundred points of "Face-Slapping Value."

Ma Wu chuckled, but quickly noticed Ye Qing was pressing something against his side.

Ye Qing spoke in a cold voice, "Let me go, Ma Wu, unless you want to lose your life."

A gun? Ma Wu was suddenly flustered. Damn, he was here to save her—if she wouldn't reward him with her affection, must she kill her rescuer?

Ma Wu stopped, thought for a moment, then whispered, "Don't misunderstand. I'm not really inviting you for a drink. I know you're trying to escape. He can leave, but I have even more right to take you out of here."

Ye Qing blinked in surprise, then withdrew the object from Ma Wu's side.

Ma Wu resumed leading Ye Qing toward the exit.

As they reached the staircase, security staff blocked their way: "Excuse me, sir and madam. Something has happened on the second floor. We hope all guests will wait and cooperate with our investigation. We will compensate you afterwards."

But Ma Wu winked at the security guard who had let him pass earlier. As the guard approached, Ma Wu discreetly slipped a small envelope filled with cash into his hand. "Brothers, I've found myself a fine woman and can't hold back my passion. Can't do that in the bar, can I? How about a little favor and let us go? We're both regulars here."

The guard understood, quickly tucked the envelope into his chest pocket, then casually waved his hand. "Alright, these two clearly aren't suspects. Let them go."

Successfully leaving Eddie Bar, Ma Wu was pleased, but failed to notice Ye Qing's deep anger at his previous disrespectful words.

At the entrance, Ye Qing finally shook off Ma Wu. "Alright, I'm out. You can leave now."

Ma Wu shook his head. "No. You're injured, aren't you? If you take a cab, what if something happens? Plus, taxis keep records—if those chasing you find out, you'll be in trouble. Better come with me; I drove here."

A trace of surprise flickered in Ye Qing's eyes. She pondered for a while, then silently agreed.

Ma Wu drove his Phantom supercar, quickly leaving Eddie Bar with Ye Qing. On the way, Ye Qing asked Ma Wu to drive to an abandoned factory in the east of the city, and he agreed.

The supercar sped along, but as they crossed the bridge from the north to the east side of the city, three fast-moving SUVs suddenly appeared behind them.

Ma Wu frowned. Were these pursuers?

He was still puzzling over it when Ye Qing commented lightly, "They're after me. How's your driving? If you can't shake them, let me take the wheel."

Ma Wu laughed and shook his head. No man could bear his skills or abilities being questioned.

He said nothing, but slammed the accelerator. The supercar's engine roared, launching forward.

Unexpectedly, the three black SUVs behind him kept pace, their engines powerful. They had clearly locked onto their target and began to intercept Ma Wu.

One SUV moved to Ma Wu's right, bumping his Phantom, pushing him left.

To the left, another SUV kept steady, preventing escape.

Damn. Ma Wu's hands sweated on the wheel—these guys were strong.

Luckily, he'd already learned basic driving skills!

Ma Wu grinned fiercely, shifted gears abruptly, and stepped hard on the clutch and brake. The supercar instantly slowed, tires screeching.

The SUV on Ma Wu's right hadn't expected such a decisive maneuver and continued to ram left; since Ma Wu was no longer on the same level, it crashed into the SUV on the left.

Both SUVs were speeding; any deviation could spell disaster. The two collided, one spinning into the air and crashing down, while the other plunged off the bridge into the dark, endless river.

After this deft maneuver, Ma Wu quickly spun the wheel, shifted gears, avoided the wrecks, and accelerated away, merging into the traffic ahead.

In the last remaining black SUV, a man watched Ma Wu's Phantom disappear. He slowed, dialed an unknown number, and said, "Prepare to clean up. Two cars have crashed. Their driving skills are impressive."

"Yes, I've already seen the license plate. It's… Can you help me find out who this person is?"
