Chapter 96 Left Hand, Dark Thunder! [3]
As the incantation ended, the three talisman papers seemed to sprout wings, soaring into the air and wrapping themselves around Yan Yu’s right hand!
In an instant, electric serpents slithered across Yan Yu’s right hand, and a surge of pure yang energy radiated from his palm.
Liu Sen and Xiao Hongniang tensed as if facing a deadly foe. After all, it was with this very technique—the Thunder Palm—that Yan Yu had nearly defeated them last time.
“Thunder Palm!” Yan Yu shouted, and the electric serpents shot out from his hand, striking Xiao Hongniang squarely!
With a pained scream, Xiao Hongniang was sent flying. Yet before she even hit the ground, she managed to withstand the blow and regain her balance.
Liu Sen rejoiced inwardly: The talismans this boy used didn’t seem to be drawn with fresh blood. Although their power was even greater than last time, it was no longer enough to threaten Xiao Hongniang as she was now!
After unleashing the Thunder Palm, Yan Yu’s face turned a shade paler.
Xiao Hongniang seemed to sense that Yan Yu was at his limit. She cackled, as if already picturing his miserable end.
“You brat, prepare to die!” Liu Sen roared. Xiao Hongniang lunged with claws bared, and Yan Yu, his expression darkening, drew more talismans from his pocket and began chanting the same incantation.
“You think you can try that trick a second time?” Liu Sen sneered. “Boy, you’re no match for us now. Even another Thunder Palm can’t save you from your fate today!”
“Oh really?... I’m not so sure about that,” Yan Yu replied, the corner of his mouth curling into a smirk. As he finished the chant, the talismans once again leapt into the air. But this time, they wrapped around his left hand instead of his right!
Black electric serpents raced across his left arm; the yang energy vanished, replaced by a surge of pure yin energy!
“What’s happening?” Liu Sen exclaimed, frowning. “This boy is clearly alive, so why is there such a heavy aura of yin about him?!”
With a cold snort, Yan Yu gave Xiao Hongniang no chance to react. The Thunder Palm from his left hand struck out, smashing into her with brutal force!
Xiao Hongniang never expected that using the same move with the left hand would be so much more powerful. The black Thunder Palm sent her crashing to the ground, nearly obliterating her very soul!
Yan Yu shook out his left hand and let out a quiet breath of relief.
The left hand is yin, the right is yang.
He had not summoned the Qilin Arm itself, only borrowed its unique power to unleash a Thunder Palm.
When yang thunder proves ineffective, Yan Yu resorts to yin thunder—a force infused with the yin energy of the little ghost his Qilin Arm had once devoured in the prison. Its might was extraordinary!
But even so, after using the yin thunder, Yan Yu felt his blood roil and his face grew ashen.
Xiao Hongniang’s condition was even worse than his.
As for Liu Sen, with his palm and thigh both pierced by hairpins, he was already suffering from blood loss; his complexion was little better than Yan Yu’s.
Yan Yu staggered, then forced himself upright.
He knew his own state—if Liu Sen had any tricks left, he might be forced to use the Qilin Arm in the end.
Liu Sen’s eyes flashed uncertainly.
“Heaven and earth without bounds, the Way is natural!” Yan Yu suddenly shouted.
To his surprise, Liu Sen whirled around and ran for his life!
Xiao Hongniang fled in terror as well.
Yan Yu chuckled. Clearly, he’d left a shadow over the hearts of this pair of man and ghost.
Liu Sen limped away and was not fast. Yan Yu caught up, seized his collar, and threw him to the ground. “Trying to escape?!”
“What do you want?” Liu Sen asked through gritted teeth.
Yan Yu kicked him. “Still acting tough?”
His foot landed squarely on Liu Sen’s wound, making him howl in pain. Yan Yu demanded coldly, “What does that ram’s head emblem mean?”
Liu Sen’s eyes darted; he was just about to answer when Yan Yu felt a chill at his back and leaped aside.
Zhao Kunpeng had somehow slipped out of the car, a gleaming dagger in hand.
If Yan Yu hadn’t dodged in time, Zhao Kunpeng would have stabbed him in the back!
“This isn’t your business, kid,” Zhao Kunpeng said coldly.
Yan Yu’s gaze sharpened. In a flash, his fist shot out—so fast it was a blur. Zhao Kunpeng had no chance to react; his nose shattered beneath the blow.
“Ahhh!” Zhao Kunpeng hadn’t realized Yan Yu was not only skilled in the occult, but also so quick and strong. He clutched his nose and screamed, falling to his knees in agony.
“Who are you trying to impress?” Yan Yu rolled his eyes at Zhao Kunpeng, then turned—only to find that Liu Sen had vanished, seizing the chance to escape!
He spotted Liu Sen’s shadow just ahead, and was about to give chase when a shriek sounded behind him. Su Wentao cried out, “Yinxuan! Yinxuan! What’s wrong?!”
Turning back, Yan Yu saw Xiao Hongniang merging into Su Yinxuan’s body. Gritting his teeth, he abandoned the pursuit and hurried to Su Hanxue and the others.
To slow Yan Yu down, Liu Sen had sent Xiao Hongniang after the young girl Su Yinxuan.
Yan Yu might have no fondness for Su Hanxue and Su Wentao, but Su Yinxuan was innocent.
“Step aside, let me check her,” Yan Yu said, pushing the two aside and taking Su Yinxuan’s pulse.
A sudden wail broke the silence as several cars pulled up along the roadside. Su Han and Steward Mo got out.
“Yan Yu, are you alright?” Su Han asked anxiously.
Yan Yu shook his head. “The girl’s been possessed by a fierce ghost. If we don’t get it out quickly, her soul may be lost forever!”
Hearing this, Su Hanxue broke down completely and knelt before Yan Yu, kowtowing. “Yan Yu, I was wrong before, it was all my fault! But my daughter Yinxuan is innocent—please, you must save her!”
Su Wentao, now panicked as well, dropped to his knees.
Yan Yu frowned, “To save her, I must…”
He was halfway through the sentence when his expression suddenly changed. Instinctively, he raised his hand in defense.
The others were startled by Yan Yu’s sudden movement, but there was nothing visible—just a strange chill in the air.
Only Su Han saw it: a blood-covered infant ghost shot out before Yan Yu, its face twisted in a ferocious snarl, mouth open as it lunged to bite him!
Yan Yu reflexively raised his left hand, and the infant ghost sank its teeth deep into his arm!
A stifled groan escaped Yan Yu’s lips.
Then, to everyone’s shock, Yan Yu’s left hand was suddenly shrouded in yin energy. His sleeve disintegrated into dust, revealing a ghastly, demonic face on his arm!
The moment the ghostly visage appeared, the infant ghost was so terrified it nearly lost control of its bowels. But before it could flee, the demon face sucked it in, chewing it up in an instant!
“Eat… eat… eat!” After swallowing the little ghost, the demon face licked its lips, unsatisfied.
