Yan Yu knew that with the intensity of Feng Liang’s resentment, he was certainly watching the Internet Addiction Center every moment.

So, the instant he tore off the talisman, he felt a chilling wind rush toward him, though the window was tightly shut.

“Hiss… Boss, did you turn on the air conditioner?” the fat one shivered, unable to resist asking.

Yan Yu ignored him, simply gazing toward the window and speaking in a calm tone, “Feng Liang, you have already killed your parents. If you lay your hands on Yang Yongsheng as well, you will suffer a millennium of torment in hell. Even so, do you still wish to act?”

“Boss, who are you talking to?” Hao Zhuang asked in confusion.

Just then, a sudden gust of cold wind surged, and the beds and desk in Room 13 began to tremble violently!

“An earthquake! An earthquake!” The fat one screamed, ducking under the desk and waving frantically at Yan Yu. “Boss, get under here, quick!”

Yan Yu remained rooted to the spot.

Suddenly, all the cold wind gathered together and transformed into a vague human figure.

At this, the fat one and Hao Zhuang turned pale with terror.

“Big guy, did… did you see that?”

“You saw it too?”

“Gulp… We’re talking about that thing, right?”

“A ghost…”

“Oh my god, a ghost!”

Clinging to each other, the fat one and Hao Zhuang cowered beneath the desk.

Yan Yu glanced back at them with a trace of exasperation. “With you two acting like this, you still want to join the relevant bureau?”

“Boss, aren’t you afraid?” Hao Zhuang asked, then suddenly realized—the ghost before them seemed to have been summoned by Yan Yu.

“Wait, Boss, are you a Taoist priest?” The fat one was thunderstruck.

“Can you two let me handle my business? I’ll explain when we get back.”

“Okay, okay… You two go ahead and talk…” They were still frightened, but couldn’t help sneaking glances at Feng Liang, who floated midair.

Feng Liang’s head hung low, his eyes dull, his body shrouded in dense resentment—an aura even more terrifying than Zhao Qingqing’s.

Yan Yu, far from frightened, actually smiled. “So, you’ve killed two people and now your presence is completely different, is it?”

“Why… did you let me in?” Feng Liang asked in a heavy voice.

“My purpose aligns with yours. You want to kill Yang Yongsheng—I do too. That’s why I think we can cooperate,” Yan Yu replied calmly. “There are many things in this world the living need the dead to do, and many things the dead need the living’s help with. For example, if I hadn’t removed the talisman for you, you couldn’t even have entered this building.”

Feng Liang hesitated for a moment. “…How do you want me to help you?”

“Yang Yongsheng must die, but he must be judged by the living, not slain by your hand, creating further blood debts. Help me; together, we’ll find evidence of Yang Yongsheng’s crimes. I guarantee he’ll pay for what he’s done.”

“No… I must kill him with my own hands!” Feng Liang’s face twisted with malice, making the fat one and Hao Zhuang cling to each other even more tightly.

Yan Yu chuckled. “Not to discourage you, but you couldn’t even handle the talismans stuck all over this building. How could you possibly be a match for Yang Yongsheng? Without my help, you’d just be throwing yourself to your death.”

Having killed two people, Feng Liang’s intelligence seemed to have grown; he thought it over and finally nodded, agreeing to Yan Yu’s terms.

“Yang Yongsheng… must die… If you deceive me… I’ll kill you too!”

Yan Yu snorted coldly and formed a hand seal, his right hand suddenly glowing with golden light. He said icily, “Feng Liang, if not for you, I’d never have come to this damned place. If you keep that attitude with me, believe me, I’ll destroy you myself.”

Such a person required both firmness and softness. Sure enough, when Feng Liang saw the hand seal, his aura diminished.

Yan Yu withdrew the seal and pointed at the unconscious Instructor Yan lying on the floor. “Possess his body.”

Feng Liang nodded. His form turned into black smoke and instantly slipped into Instructor Yan’s mouth.

Within moments, “Instructor Yan” opened his eyes.

He rose stiffly, his expression wooden. If one looked closely, his heels hovered just slightly above the floor.

“How does it feel?” Yan Yu asked.

“I hate this body,” Instructor Yan replied.

“It won’t last long. Once we find the evidence, Yang Yongsheng won’t escape!” Yan Yu said. “There are some things I need to ask you. First, the symbol you drew behind the photo under the mattress—what does it mean?”

At the mention of the ram’s head, Feng Liang’s expression changed. He was about to answer, when suddenly the door to Room 13 was knocked upon, and Yang Yongsheng’s voice sounded from outside, “Open up!”

A flash of hatred crossed Instructor Yan’s eyes, but it quickly faded.

“Control yourself. Go open the door,” Yan Yu urged, swiftly replacing the talisman where he’d torn it down.

Instructor Yan went to open the door, and Yang Yongsheng stepped inside. Seeing the fat one and Hao Zhuang cowering under the desk, he grinned and clapped the instructor on the shoulder. “As expected of you, Instructor Yan. Looks like they’ve already experienced the power of the electrotherapy device.”

The three of them were stunned, then realized Yang Yongsheng had misunderstood—he thought the two were hiding under the desk after being shocked.

Yan Yu gave the fat one a surreptitious kick. Quick-witted, the fat one clutched his head and wailed, “Uncle Yang, I’m sorry! Don’t shock me again, I was wrong!”

Yang Yongsheng was so annoyed by the fat one’s pig-like shrieks that his head ached. He waved them away impatiently. “Enough, take them out.”

Instructor Yan’s fists clenched repeatedly, barely able to control himself, but Yan Yu quickly helped the two up and called out the instructor’s name. Only then did they all leave Room 13.

Once they were gone, Yang Yongsheng’s smile vanished. His face turned grim as he surveyed every corner of Room 13.

Suddenly, a breeze swept through, and the talisman on the window floated gently to the ground.

Instantly, a fierce wind whipped through the room, and it sounded as if cries and wails filled the air.

“Let us out! We want to leave! Get us out of here!”

A dozen ghostly figures rushed for the window in a desperate bid to escape.

“Who dares to run?” Yang Yongsheng sneered, reaching out to grab one of the little ghosts and biting its arm clean off.

The ghost, now missing an arm, began to fade entirely. It knelt, kowtowing desperately. “Uncle Yang… I dare not… I won’t run again!”

“Good.”

Yang Yongsheng picked up the talisman from the floor and carefully pressed it back onto the window.

Behind him, a dozen little ghosts knelt, worshipping him as a god.

Afterward, Yang Yongsheng sat in his office chair, gazing at the electrotherapy device before him, muttering to himself, “It seems something unclean has snuck into this Internet Addiction Center…”
