Looking at the four people lying on the ground, Li Kang felt a surge of dread.

“Boss, beat him to death!” The chubby boy clambered up from Da Fei's side, furious.

Since the other side had tried to break their arms, if they backed down now, they'd truly be cowards.

“What do you want?” Li Kang's face darkened. “My dad is Li Gang!”

“I don’t care if you’re Li Gang or the Iron Gourd Boy!” Yan Yu strode forward, knocked Li Kang down, and seized one of his arms. “Hao Zhuang’s hand is broken. You’ll pay him back with yours!”

“You’re going to break my arm?!” For the first time, fear flickered in Li Kang’s eyes.

Yan Yu snorted coldly and picked up a large stone from the ground, raising it high above his head.

“Yan Yu, if you dare lay a finger on me, I swear you’ll regret it!” Li Kang squeezed his eyes shut and screamed.

“Stop!”

Just then, a dozen security guards burst out from the school. As Yan Yu glanced back, he saw the frail classmate whom Li Kang had sent to summon him to the back hill trailing at the end of the group.

It seemed that classmate had worried Yan Yu might run into trouble, so he’d secretly informed the school security.

However—

It wasn’t Yan Yu and his friends who were truly in trouble, but Li Kang. Still, with the security guards present, Yan Yu couldn’t do anything further. He silently dropped the stone and stood up.

The security guards rushed forward and detained Yan Yu and the others. Zhang Dagen, his face drawn, sidled up to Yan Yu and sighed, “Young Master Yan, someone reported a fight here. I really have no choice…”

Yan Yu glanced at Li Kang and shook his head. “It’s fine.”

Zhang Dagen nodded slightly, then ordered his men, “Take them all to the security office!”

Li Kang was pinned by the guards but fought wildly, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Yan Yu. Suddenly, he sneered, “Yan Yu, you didn’t cripple me this time, but tomorrow I’ll cripple you!”

“Let’s see if you survive till tomorrow,” Yan Yu retorted coldly.

They were all taken to the security office and locked up separately. Hao Zhuang and the three thugs, having suffered more serious injuries, were sent to the infirmary for now.

Inside the security office, Yan Yu and the chubby boy were confined together; Li Kang and Da Fei were kept on the other side.

“Master Li, I had no idea that kid would be so fierce—he went at us like a madman… My three boys are badly hurt. Can’t you at least…” Da Fei had become much more subdued.

Li Kang snapped, “There were so many of you and you still couldn’t handle him? And now you’ve got the nerve to ask me for money?!”

Da Fei’s face was full of misery. He’d been kicked by Yan Yu, and there was still a bright red footprint on his chest.

Suddenly, Da Fei’s phone rang. He answered, and his boss, Brother Mountain Chicken, was on the line.

“Da Fei, I heard you guys got caught by the school security? What happened?” Mountain Chicken asked.

Da Fei replied bitterly, “We ran into a tough student and got taken down.”

“I’ll find someone to get you out later, but I need to warn you about something,” Mountain Chicken said. “Boss Meng just sent word—he’s warned all the brothers not to mess with a student named Yan Yu. Anyone who crosses him becomes Boss Meng’s mortal enemy.”

“W-what?!” Da Fei was so shocked he sat straight down, his phone slipping from his hand.

He scrambled to pick it up and asked, “Brother Chicken, who is this kid? Even Boss Meng’s giving him special treatment?”

“Good thing you asked me. Boss Meng only told me—he said Yan Yu isn’t under his protection, but under the protection of someone above his head. If anyone messes with Yan Yu, even Boss Meng could be in trouble!”

Thud—

Da Fei’s phone fell to the ground a second time.

“Hello? Hello? What’s going on, Da Fei? Don’t tell me that tough student is Yan Yu?!” Mountain Chicken sounded anxious.

Da Fei swallowed hard, picked up the phone, and stammered, “N-no… Don’t worry, Brother Chicken. I absolutely won’t mess with Yan Yu…”

“As long as you know. If you get on Yan Yu’s bad side, forget about me—even Boss Meng won’t be able to save you!”

With that, Mountain Chicken hung up. Da Fei stared at the phone, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

Li Kang was puzzled and asked, “Was that Brother Chicken? What did he say?”

“He… he said,” Da Fei replied, his face ashen, “I’m finished.”

“Young Master Yan, here’s some water…”

In another security room, Yan Yu’s treatment was worlds apart from Li Kang’s. Security Captain Zhang Dagen personally served Yan Yu tea.

The chubby boy had long heard of Zhang Dagen’s reputation—few at the school weren’t afraid of him. Now, seeing Zhang Dagen so deferential to Yan Yu, he was so astonished his eyes nearly popped out of his head.

“How’s my friend?” Yan Yu took a sip of tea and asked.

Zhang Dagen replied, “Don’t worry, it’s just a minor bone fracture, not a break. He’s getting his arm set in the infirmary now… Compared to your friend, Da Fei’s men are in much worse shape. They’ll probably have to be sent to the city hospital for surgery.”

“They got what they deserved!” the chubby boy muttered.

Zhang Dagen forced a smile. “Young Master Yan, you’ve only been here two days and already stirred up quite the commotion… I don’t dare say anything, but your homeroom teacher won’t be so easy to handle.”

Just the mention of Su Han made Yan Yu sigh—he’d just been sent here by Su Han yesterday, and now it looked like they’d meet here again today.

Speak of the devil, the door to the security office suddenly swung open and Su Han walked in, face stern and clad in a khaki trench coat.

“Hello, Teacher Su!” the chubby boy greeted hastily.

“Save it!” Su Han snapped. “You two are something else, fighting on school grounds. If Captain Zhang and his team hadn’t arrived in time, were you planning to kill someone?!”

Students have a natural fear of teachers, so both the chubby boy and Yan Yu instinctively lowered their heads.

“You should be grateful you’re still students. If this had happened in the real world, you wouldn’t be sitting in the security office—you’d be in a detention center!” Su Han sighed. “Enough, Zhu Xiangyang, I know you weren’t the ringleader. You go back first.”

“But… Teacher, I…” the chubby boy hesitated, unwilling to leave Yan Yu behind.

Su Han shot him a glare. Yan Yu whispered, “Go on, check on Hao Zhuang for me.”

“Alright… Boss, take care. Call me if anything happens.” Finally, the chubby boy nodded.

Zhang Dagen escorted him out. Once the room was empty, Yan Yu grinned cheekily. “Su, did you come to bail me out?”

“Who gave you the right to call me Su?” Su Han snapped.

“Come on, there’s no one else here…” Yan Yu winked. “Su, there’s something I need your help with.”
