Upon hearing someone shout "Stop!", Master Cao’s face twisted into a mask of misery. He tugged at Yan Yu, whispering, "Master, it’s better to avoid trouble whenever possible!"

Yan Yu blinked. "I didn't shout that!"

"Not you? Then who was it?"

The two turned in unison to look outside the shop.

There stood Da Fei, one foot propped up on the curb, a defiant, cocky smirk on his face. With one hand, he raked his fingers through his wild, spiked hair, while the other pointed directly at the one-eyed man. "I’m talking to you, One-Eye! Let go of that girl!"

The one-eyed man stood in silence, staring at Da Fei for a long moment before finally muttering, "Where did this punk come from?"

"If you break her wings, I shall destroy your paradise!"

The one-eyed man: "???"

The girl in glasses: "Why are you speaking in that outdated, nonsensical internet slang?!"

"That’s irrelevant!" Da Fei declared with cold intensity. "Let her go!"

The one-eyed man sighed and waved a hand at his subordinates. "Take care of him. I don't want my ears dirtied by such trash."

His men turned their menacing gazes toward Da Fei, who instinctively recoiled. "Think you’re the only one who can call for backup? I can too! Brother Shanjie!"

Seeing Da Fei being bullied, Shanjie and his crew rushed forward. As the two sides squared off, Shanjie couldn't help but ask, "Which turf are you from, brother? This is Rong City, the territory of Boss Meng. Shouldn't you have sent a greeting before coming to our patch to look for someone?"

"Boss Meng? Never heard of him. And you lot—who do you think you are?" the one-eyed man retorted with supreme arrogance.

Shanjie’s expression darkened. "Since that’s how it is, don’t blame us for being impolite!"

"If you want to fight, then fight!"

Shanjie and his men whipped collapsible batons from their sleeves and charged into Yuxin Hall!

Yet, in less than ten seconds, Shanjie and his crew were tossed back out of the shop by the one-eyed man’s thugs with even greater speed than they had entered.

"What’s going on?!" Da Fei turned pale with fright.

The one-eyed man’s group hadn't even used weapons, yet every one of Shanjie’s men had at least three broken bones!

Yan Yu was slightly taken aback. "These guys... they aren't ordinary people."

The one-eyed man strode out of Yuxin Hall and spat on Da Fei, who didn't dare make a sound.

"Take her away!"

His subordinates immediately moved in to grab the girl in glasses. It looked as if they were about to drag her off.

"Stop! Let that girl go!"

"Damn it, tired of living?!"

The one-eyed man spun around and delivered a slap that sent Da Fei flying over two meters away.

Da Fei landed on the ground, clutching his face, and shouted in utter confusion, "I—I didn't shout that!"

"Then who did?"

"It was me!"

From the side of Yuxin Hall, Yan Yu slowly walked out, followed by Master Cao, who was still frantically trying to pull him back.

"You?" The one-eyed man narrowed his eyes.

Da Fei instantly recognized him. "Young Master Yan?!"

Yan Yu offered a faint smile. "In broad daylight, isn't it a bit inappropriate to break into a shop and abduct someone?"

"It seems there are a few too many busybodies today!"

The one-eyed man, already seething with rage, stepped forward and raised his hand, intent on delivering a stinging slap to Yan Yu!

However—

Yan Yu’s left hand shot up, blocking the man’s arm, and with lightning speed, he retaliated with a slap of his own!

*Smack!*

The sound was sharp, and the entire crowd stood stunned.

"You... you hit me?" the one-eyed man said, his face darkening.

"Not enough for you?"

Yan Yu reached out and delivered several more slaps to the man’s face, finishing with a flurry of punches and a kick that sent the one-eyed man flying two meters into the air!

"Second Brother! Second Brother! Are you alright?" His subordinates were horrified.

The one-eyed man lay on the ground, his head swollen like a pig’s. He bellowed, "Help me up!"

His men scrambled to lift him.

"You brat... you’re a martial artist... what school do you belong to?" The one-eyed man clutched his chest, staring at Yan Yu with cold, murderous intent.

Yan Yu ignored the question. "Release her, or you’ll regret ever coming here."

Da Fei cheered from the sidelines, "Young Master Yan is awesome! Get him, Young Master Yan!"

The one-eyed man lowered his head, feigning defeat, but his hands began to move. Yan Yu watched closely, noticing him surreptitiously forming a spell.

A wisp of yin energy slowly drifted toward Yan Yu’s head.

In the eyes of the one-eyed man, the ten-year-old vengeful spirit he had released was already hovering over Yan Yu. With one command, the spirit would shred Yan Yu’s soul; no matter how fit or skilled in combat he was, he would surely fall!

The one-eyed man sneered inwardly: *You arrogant brat, once I harvest your soul, I’ll refine you into a ghost slave and keep you as my puppet forever!*

The vengeful spirit wore a shrill, cruel grin, its claws dripping with dark energy as it plunged toward the crown of Yan Yu’s head!

However, before the spirit’s claws could even touch him, Yan Yu suddenly raised his left arm.

The spirit, sensing something truly terrifying, suddenly shrieked and tried to flee—but it was too late. It was forcibly sucked into the sleeve of Yan Yu’s left arm!

*Destroyed!*

What just happened?!

"Pfft!"

With his controlled spirit obliterated, the one-eyed man suffered an immediate backlash and couldn't stop himself from spitting up a mouthful of blood!

Yan Yu rubbed his "Kirin Arm" and teased, "So that’s why you were silent for so long—you were busy working yourself into a blood-spitting rage. Old man, you should take better care of your health; don't go around fighting and killing every day."

The one-eyed man was nearly driven mad.

That was a ten-year-old spirit he had spent so much effort to control!

By now, however, he realized this young man was no ordinary person. Not only was his martial prowess extraordinary, but his mastery of Daoist arts was leagues beyond his own!

"Are you going to let her go and get lost, or what?" Yan Yu asked coolly.

A flicker of resentment crossed the one-eyed man’s eyes, but he finally gestured to his men: "Let her go!"

The men released the girl in glasses and escorted her back to the entrance of Yuxin Hall.

"Get lost."

The one-eyed man took a long, hard look at Yan Yu. "Kid, no matter who you are, you’ll meet a miserable end for crossing us!"

"Just get out of here," Yan Yu said, completely unbothered.

"You’ll regret this! Let’s go!" The one-eyed man waved his hand, and they piled into their cars, disappearing at the end of the road.

Seeing them leave, Da Fei let out a long breath. "Young Master Yan, thank goodness you were here..."

"Your brothers are hurt; get them to the hospital," Yan Yu said.

The girl in glasses stepped forward. "I’m a doctor. Carry them into the shop; I’ll treat them."

"You?" Yan Yu looked at her, skeptical.

"What? Is the renowned 'Saintly Hands' Liu Yuxin not qualified to treat a few simple fractures and bruises?" The girl winked at Yan Yu and smiled.
