In Yan Yu’s memory, his five mothers rarely came down from the mountain; in fact, his eldest mother had never once stepped outside of Si Ku Nunnery.

For his fifth mother to descend from the mountain, there must be a matter of great importance to attend to. As her godson, Yan Yu was naturally concerned.

"Why did Fifth Mother suddenly come down?"

His second mother replied, "We don't know either. If you have time, you might want to get in touch with her."

"Alright."

After hanging up, Yan Yu did not rush to contact his fifth mother. His five mothers were incredibly capable, and usually, they had no need for his assistance. If his fifth mother truly needed his help, she would reach out to him herself. For now, Yan Yu needed to figure out exactly what was hidden inside Yang Xuefei's necklace.

Returning to the hospital room, Yang Xuefei was chatting with Su Han. Seeing Yan Yu walk in, Su Han said, "Yan Yu, Feifei says she’s transferring schools."

"Transferring? Why?" Yan Yu asked, puzzled.

Yang Xuefei gave a bitter smile. "My parents are worried that I’ll be in danger if I stay in Rong City, so they decided to have me transfer to Shen City. I can apply to the Shen City Academy of Arts when the time comes."

"A change of environment... that’s not a bad idea," Yan Yu said. "If you run into any trouble, you can contact us anytime."

"I will." Yang Xuefei nodded with a smile. Her beautiful eyes darted between Yan Yu and Su Han. "Yan Yu, Teacher Su, you two look like a real married couple when you work together!"

"Me? With him? How could that be possible, ha-ha..." Su Han offered a polite but awkward laugh.

Yan Yu nodded very seriously as well. "Don't you think Qingqing and I are a better match?"

"Hubby~ don't say that!"

"..." Yang Xuefei was speechless. What a mess of a relationship this was.

The two people and one ghost kept Yang Xuefei company for a while longer. By the time lunch arrived, Su Han had to head to the school for some business, taking Zhao Qingqing with her when she left.

Yan Yu stepped out of the hospital room but didn't head straight home. Instead, he went to the hospital entrance to find Master Cao, who was busy eating his lunch.

The shop owner had kept his word and added two chicken drumsticks to Master Cao's meal. The thin old man was sitting on the steps in front of the shop, eating with gusto. Yan Yu tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Old Cao, I need to ask you something."

"What is it?" Master Cao asked, gnawing on a drumstick.

"Do you know a place in Rong City called Yuxin Hall? I need to find Dr. Liu from there."

Master Cao spat a chicken bone into the trash can and held up two fingers at Yan Yu.

"Are you serious? With our relationship, you're still asking me for money?!" Yan Yu rolled his eyes at him.

Master Cao chuckled. "I’m so poor I can barely afford a pair of pants."

Defeated, Yan Yu fished out two hundred yuan. "Can you talk now?"

Master Cao took the money and said mysteriously, "Master, do you know where there are the most pharmacies?"

"Outside a hotel?"

"There are many pharmacies outside hotels, but the real concentration is around hospitals—which is exactly where this street is!" Master Cao pointed across the street. "Look, Master, on this very street, there's the Yangsheng Hall, the Zisheng Hall, the Huimin Hall—they’re all here!"

"I'm looking for Yuxin Hall!" Yan Yu reminded him.

Master Cao scratched his head. "Yuxin Hall... why does that sound familiar? Where could it be..."

"Give my two hundred back," Yan Yu said, holding out his palm.

"Cough, cough, give me a moment, I'll remember it in a second!"

While Master Cao was racking his brains, several Audi cars sped down the road. After they pulled over, a group of men in black suits and sunglasses stepped out. Seeing this, Master Cao couldn't help but remark, "Good grief, aren't these Boss Meng's men? What are they doing here?"

Yan Yu took a glance and was taken aback; there were familiar faces in the group. The leader, a man with yellow hair, was called Shanjiji, wasn't he? Like Song Jiulong, whom Yan Yu had beaten up previously, he was a direct subordinate of Meng Guohui. Behind Shanjiji was a punk with red, spiked hair—wasn't that Big Fei?

The group didn't notice Yan Yu sitting in the corner. Shanjiji called Big Fei over and said, "Boss Meng said we are to go to Yuxin Hall and invite Dr. Liu back. We must be very polite!"

"Brother Shanjiji, by 'polite,' do you mean the normal kind of 'polite'?" Big Fei asked.

"Don't talk nonsense! Be as polite as possible!"

"Got it!"

Listening to their conversation, Yan Yu turned around silently. Right next to the flower and fruit shop where Master Cao worked, there hung a plaque that read "Yuxin Hall"!

Damn, it was right next door?!

"I remember now!" Master Cao exclaimed excitedly. "Yuxin Hall is right next to us!"

"Do you think I need you to tell me that!" Yan Yu shouted, "Give me back the money!"

Master Cao kept chuckling, playing dumb as if he had never taken the money. Just as Yan Yu was about to grab him by the throat, another group of people rushed into Yuxin Hall, beating Big Fei to the punch!

"Call out whoever's in charge here!"

Yan Yu leaned over to look. The person shouting inside Yuxin Hall was none other than the one-eyed man he had encountered in the hospital stairwell that morning.

"What is this group doing at Yuxin Hall?" Yan Yu frowned.

Yuxin Hall sold traditional Chinese medicine. The shop was decorated in a rustic style, filled with medicine cabinets, and the scent of herbs could be smelled from over ten meters away. At that moment, only a freckled girl in glasses, looking to be in her early twenties, was in the shop organizing the cabinets. Hearing the shouting, she turned around with a frown and said, "Please don't make a scene in the shop."

"Who cares about your rules?!" The one-eyed man sneered and reached out, flipping over the medicine cabinet in front of him!

The girl frowned but didn't show any anger. "Who are you, and what do you want?"

"Get your manager out here!"

"Anything you have to say, you can tell me."

"Little girl, are you sure you want to talk to us?" The one-eyed man sneered. "Then let me ask you: a young man in a hoodie came to your shop this morning. What did he say? What did he do? Did he leave anything behind?"

The girl shook her head. "No."

"You stinking woman, I've been asking you for half a day and all you can say is 'no'?!" The one-eyed man roared. "Do you believe I'll smash your shop to pieces?"

"I'll call the police."

"You think the police are useful?"

The one-eyed man didn't hesitate to flip over another cabinet. The girl finally couldn't hold back and stepped forward to stop him, but the one-eyed man easily grabbed her wrist!

"Little girl, if you don't tell the truth, the consequences will be very serious..."

As the one-eyed man spoke, his remaining eye revealed a look of greed.

"Stop right there! You thugs, let that girl go!"
